Most Boxing After Dark fights aren't worth creating a whole new thread about so the goal here is to put them all in one thread that progresses as they're announced and happen.
HBO shouldn't wait until the fight broadcast to do those mini-docs. They do a great job of introducing newer fighters and making their stories known, similar to what UFC does on SpikeTV.
Onto Peterson-Rios
I had a bad feeling on this fight when I saw their unofficial weights. Rios came in at 151 while Peterson was 139. It's the same feeling I get when I hear a fighter had to struggle to make weight. While it's not impossible, I don't normally side with a junior welter/super lightweight beating a junior middleweight/super welter. Then for Peterson to fight the totally wrong type of fight doomed him. Rios fought a great fight and backed up my feelings when he said he didn't feel Peterson's power. Not a fan of his wanting to fight other lightweights when he's clearly a welterweight. Not his fault, it's the fault of boxing and the people that run it.
Haven't watched Gamboa fight yet (took The Wife to see Public Enemy last night so everything else has been on the backburner).
