The new G2 Tmobile phone looks nice...

I really like, but i'm worried about how strong the flipout device it gonna be. It looks like it's only held up by two plastic arms.

I've waited 2 years and have been rewarded.
3.7in screen,
4-row keyboard.
1.5ghz snap dragon or dual 800mhz, either way a win,
2.2 Android no fucking skin.

My G1 running 2.1 can finally retire. *Waits to pre-order.*

it looks nice, but dang, you'd think they'd give us a 4.0 fkn screen.....I have the Nexus, love the phone, i recently got a few scuffs on it, so i'm open for a new phone, the samsung galaxy wasn't an upgrade and if i'm gonna cop this g2 thing it better have some nicer specs than the Nexus. First strike is 3.7 screen. I'd get it if it had 4.0 and Android 2.2. My contract is up, so the next phone i buy I will pay full price like I did my Nexus. I've come to like that no contract shyt, whatever phone i cop, i'll still be paying the same monthly for unlimited everything i was with the g1. I want to see the specs of this g2, personally i'm looking to upgrade from the Nexus, anything with similar specs isn't an upgrade for me, but this phone along with the galaxy tmo look like great phones!

i don't see how they say this is the first phone on hspa+ I have the H and amazing speeds on my Nexus, that started after I put a new radio from xda on it. The guy at the tmo store says his Galaxy has Hspa+, while messing with his phone, i said mine is on H how come yours says 3g, he said it doesn't say H on his but its on hspa+. I don't know, but he said no other current tmo phones had the hardware for hspa+.

Keep us posted on the specs of the G2, engadget is often wrong...if there wrong on the screen size and its bigger than 3.7 i'm sold!

If the screen size is not larger than 3.7 then what's the point. I owned a G1 moved up to a Nexus One, was looking to possibly replace my N1 with another HTC product. Like royal said if the screen is larger the 3.7 and exceeds the specs of my N1, i'm sold!

No doubt glad I ran across this shit because I was just about to get in a 2 year contract for a MyTouch 3G shit...I can wait a couple of months to cop this...If I don't go with Verizon...Anybody got a price estimate?

that's what i'm saying...I went from G1 to Cliq to N1 now im looking for an upgrade. The 1.5 is cool and all but I wanna see good screen with better specs like the memory. N1 has 512...sucks having to choose how many apps. Galaxy got like 16gb or some shit like that lol.

It doesn't open that way!

It's pulled up to show the workings of the slider arms, you won't be able to open it that way.

It says this at the bottom of the article.

The G1 has similar arms on it. I've had mine since launch, treated it like a $2 whore and have had no reason to be concerned.

I'm running froyo 2.2 on board memory is not too much of a issue with me because I'm not a big app user and the apps i have now almost half are on the memory card. I was looking at the Dell Streak but it's locked to AT&T for now and that baby have a 5 inch screen.
