Title is self-explanatory.
Somewhere after Russell,Wilt,Kareem....after Shaq also,so 5-7.
the best and most skillful center i've personally ever seen play (started watching basketball in 95). cant really compare him to chamberlain or kareem cuz i never saw them play but i'd hes up there with them as the top 3 in imo
1a. Wilt Chamberlain
1b. Bill Russell
3. Kareem Abdul Jabbar
4. Shaq
5. Hakeem Olajuwon
Good take. I pretty much agree (assuming you mean #7 big man and not #7 player ever overall). He invented the center forward position that Tim Duncan made his own. He is one of the most diverse players in that position. Overall I would have to rank Him 7 Because of the way that he played that spot was different than most HOF centers, before him or during his same time.
A notch below Russel, Wilt, & Kareem and several notches above Shaq and Ewing
1a. Wilt Chamberlain
1b. Bill Russell
3. Kareem Abdul Jabbar
4. Shaq
5. Hakeem Olajuwon

dude was better than Shaq
I'm going to be a little biased since I grew up in Houston but he was the most complete center I ever seen. It's funny how people seem to forget how he outplayed Ewing & Shaq in the finals. He also destroyed David Robinson that one playoff series when Robinson robbed him of the MVP.
Lets not go too far now. Dude was a monster in his own right but lets not act like he housed shit for an entire decade. Dream was a great player no doubt, but his true dominance was only about a 3year span, which didnt take place until his early 30's. Between the ages of 31-33 is where this guy just went apeshit on the league. Dream was a great player throughout his career, but he was truly dominant for about 3 of those years. Not a knock on him be any means but it definitely serves to separate him from the best of the best. He's between 5-7 on my list.I was about to say the same, "The Dream" owned every center in the league during the 90's.
man hakeem played in the 80's when the lakers and celtics and pistons were wreckin shop. he was still one of the top guys in the league. it's hard to dominate when you got kareem in the same conference. he fuckin owned shaq, ewing, and d-rob.Lets not go too far now.
