Avatar: Legend of Korra, new animated series!

I don't blame them. The movie sucked. I would love for them to make a cartoon movie. Get the bad taste of Shamalamadingdongs bad movie out of my mouth.

I think you're wrong here. The original series was not gender driven. Males and females were heroes and villains.

As mentioned in the article, Avatar Kyoshi's already established a female avatar. Also, Katara was a strong character that people (male and female) identified with. And then there's Toph. Young, old, male or female it doesn't matter. Everyone loves Toph.

So females having a leading role has clearly been established and its not even an issue for this series.
You'll see

I'll be glad if they made an animated movie to make us forget about that dreadful thing of a movie m.night made

damn...so they just gone blow back in?

well, that's a lazy way to do it, but whatever, its a kid's show.

it ended too neatly for my taste...but that's cause i'm old and jaded.

if the fire nation was really as fucked up as they appeared to be (killing URRBODY), the survivors of their attacks would carry grudges against them for generations, and Aang would be spending the rest of his life keeping angry factions from the other nations from trying to destroy the fire kingdom.

Prince Zuko is the new fire lord and he proclaims the only way to fix 100 yrs of war is 100 yrs of peace...

More of that Order of the White Lotus - I think they were the balance that quietly stepped in when the Airbenders were depleted... and waited.

This should be a good series. My man Aang finally hit that. Good job son.

they fucked up in that there are no more airbenders.

the whole point of maintaing balance is having the 4 nations praticing one of each of the primordeal elements. with no airbenders this balance is lost.

they should have an OVA or something called the 'return of the airbenders', where some airbenders escaped the fire nation's genocide of them and lived secretly amongst the populace of other nations, ever so often visiting the "hidden temple" to maintain their cultral ways.

might be too late for that though.

yea i was expecting something like this too.. i also wanted to know the deal woth zokku mother. alot of questions left unanswered. whos the mother of aangs son who teachs airbending? him and Katara hook up? is zooku still firelord? dammmm i cant wait now..

the movie was a total failure. which sucks cause it had potential.

75 years later?

Yes

**edit**

Aang was frozen for 100 years and sure enough 100 years later his childhood friend King Bumi was a beast with earthbending. Yes, I'm willing to bet we will see appearances from the original cast and they will be nice with their bending skills. I don't get why that's so hard to believe.

Gotta keep milking the public's confusion off the James Cameron film.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...
I know which one was first to use "AVATAR" in its title.

But who OWNS that word now?
Who made BILLIONS of dollars off of it?
Which one will most of the planet remember?

:hmm:
thats why i said they needed to focus on him as in make him the avatar
The child of the Avatar cannot be the Avatar, because the Avatar is determined by the Avatar cycle. Water, Earth, Fire, Air. If Aang, who is an airbender, has a child, the child is an airbender. There will not be two airbender Avatars in a row. The next Avatar must be water. The next Fire, and the next Earth. This is why Kyoshi, who was an Earth bender, was the prior Avatar to Aang. Get your Avatar knowledge up.:D

The avatar prior to Aang was ROKU a fire bender. And I'm definitely waiting on this!!

Basically the cycle was Yangchen,
yangchen_001.jpg
a female air nomad that was the last airbending avatar before Aang, then Kuruk from the water tribe,
12+Avatar+Kuruk.JPG
then Kyoshi the big footed broad from the Earth Kingdom,
kyoshi.jpg
the of course Roku from the Fire Nation,
roku.jpg
then it starts over with an Air nomad which was Aang, and now finally Korra from the water tribe. When she dies a baby born from an earth tribe will be the next Avatar. And fuck that James Cameron movie this was Avatar before that was Avatar:angry::lol:

And on a side note I wonder if Jet really died back there in the earth kingdom basement...and I hope the new series shows flashbacks of Azula and June:yes:

Remember, everyone on the show always said "No one has seen an airbender in 100 years". That doesn't mean that there weren't air nomads in existence.

They can easily write that some air nomads went into hiding in the earth kingdom (like everyone else) and came out of hiding when the war was over. Together with Aang they rebuilt the air temples. Very easily resolved.

isnt this EXACTLY what i said they should do in my initial reply?

isnt this what i said is a mistake for them not doing it?

Your focus was on Airbenders though. I'm breaking it down to regular air nomads (no bending abilities). This would make more sense as Aang is.. well, he's the title of the series... :D

And now for some artwork of the new Avatar...

It has been said that the Air Nomads were so in tune with nature, all of them had bending abilities.

Shit, I forgot about that. I should be ashamed of myself. However, they have to study and master the art of airbending just like any other bender. Even Azula, the child prodigy, had to study.

But let's roll with it..... Now this could easily be the angle --- They were nomads, wanderers. They could have easily found shelter anywhere in the world. Also, due to their peaceful nature they would have had no problem blending in. If evil ass Hama can live in the earth kingdom for decades without being discovered, then I'm sure the air nomads can also.

:hmm:

but the avatar cycle go through the stages by the tribes and the avatar is a soul. So why would an avatar whose already alive have a child to become antoher avatar. They will be contradicting their storyline. There can only be one avatar not two at the same time representing the Air nation back to back.

Remember before ang it was roku(fire),angg(wind), now water. Before roku it was earth. Ninjas want the producers to switch up the main character but it will make things complcated and contradict everything. The producers know what they are doing :hmm:

It's so much to remember, if you haven't seen it in a while you will forget.
