Rashad is a small 205, he stands to much because he often can't keep his opponents down. He scores multiple take downs, but you rarely see him keep a man down like Sonnen does.
Two Silva and Sonnen have both fought at 205 and could do so easily again. In fact both fighters are taller than Rashad.
Also If you look at Silva's easiest fights in the UFC,aside from the Leben fight, they have been a 205. That weight cut may effect his power. He has one -hitter quitters at 205.

matt hughes said he suffered a cut under his right eye in training 5 weeks before his fight too. big deal.

I know you're going to get upset when I say this....he probably had an injury to his ribs...but no one is fighting with broken ribs...the commission and the UFC wouldn't allow it...
and there is no way anyone is fighting with broken ribs...too dangerous and you're not 100%....

Hard to imagine fighting with broken ribs, but I do know he didn't look the same last night. I expected Sonnen to take him down, but to touch his chin while in stand-up?? No way, and on multiple occasions??

I know that. lol BUT... He likely had injured/hairline-fractured ribs that mended enough to eek by a pre-fight physical. Either way, he was far from 100%... and still won.

NSAC and Zuffa would not allow it...and fighters are checked regularly b4 they fight...CT scans...xrays etc....so thats non sense....
