Looks good to me so far.
I would have to disagree. With no Donald Blake how is Thor suppose to learn humility, grace and patience.
They are going to do a 5 minute wrap up on that have him pick up the hammer and get to work with some big explosions and shitty one liners.
For that they should have made it an Asgard movie.

You should also add that I shitted on Catwoman...Even though a lot of cats on BGOL were defending that shit like motherfucker....until it came out...then motherfuckers silent as fuck. I think a few cats deleted their accounts.

For a 2 Hour Movie, Him being Donald Blake for THAT REASON would SUCK. How the fuck is this GILMORE GIRLS TWILIGHT MONEY? Marvel is already making that money and THOR has always been a Sucker for JANE FOSTER.

I don't think anyone is asking for a reproduction of one narrative. I personally want a GREAT STORY...and SINCE they went with this "exiled because of x" storyline - by the trailer and script blog - then it would make sense to go the Donald Blake route - to bring in the qualities Thor was lacking - for storyline purposes...Personally, I prefer Ultimate Thor's story than 616.
I sure if they put enough explosions in it the masses will eat it up, no doubt. They will get that short term money no doubt...longevity...nah ain't going to happen.

I would have went with the "Wounds of War" Thor.
I forget which book it is but I think it was Thor's first time doing the poker thing with the other heroes (70's to 80's maybe). He tells a few stories of how he was in Asgard and then Thing (Ben) asked him what made him change from the jerk he use to be...he then sees some flashes of Donald Blake dealing with ppl dying in his care wounds they got from war, fallout from superhero battles and what not. Now, I am not saying to do all of that...but if they was going to go with the humbling of Thor...they would have to do something deeper than him pining for Jane.
You're right it's early but going by what I read on Previews, the adaptation comic that is already being pimped out and from the blogs...I'm just not feeling it.
NOW if they had went with the Ultimate Thor look and story...It would be different and fun...

Personally, I would not have made a movie about Thor. I don't think he has the same appeal like other heroes/characters do. He along with a great many other superhero characters are best in ensembles/team settings.
Wolverine gets a pass because I did like it, parts of it at least, but Spiderman 3? Are you serious?
