they'll fix it with a new batch, a few people will go to the genius bar and get a replacement, iphone 4 will be great again..
it wont be that big of a deal after a while
competitors fix for problems is drop the phone, fuck its customers release a new model tell them to buy that one..
i'm sure some of the people demanding apples head on a stick were the same people defending microsoft for their hardware failures..
the hate for apple is strong..

I think most iphone 4g owners are weak minded with a 'yes massa, mentality!
Apple admittedly produced and distributed an inferior product. They built a phone that can't be held a certain way. The phone even lies about the strength of its signal! You have to purchase a case that hides the beautiful intricacies of the phone just to maximize the signal. And I haven't even talked about the poor shitty service At&t provides and the data plans that they offer which Bernie Madoff would be proud of.
And even with all the problems there are still people who defend them tooth and nail!! I see these Apple cronies as slaves. This acceptance of poor quality products no matter what is disgusting!
I don't think any black person or persons of color should accept this blatant form of disrespect. How can a white man sell such garbage and black people still support him is beyond me?

Ever since Apple decided to do little about the iPhone 4's pronounced reception issues except suggest that users hold the thing differently and / or buy a nice case, the voodoo engineering remedies have been flying in full force -- sure, we'll admit we tried sticking some tape over the side of our phone (no dice), but we stopped short when people suggested we try a couple coats of nail polish (insanity). Even we have limits, after all. But the latest snake oil fix is definitely the craziest we've heard so far: according to a 13-page (and growing) thread at MacRumors, the iPhone 4's reception issue can be fixed by adjusting or even trimming the micro SIM so the contacts don't touch the metal tray. The popular belief is that touching the side of the phone somehow shorts across the micro SIM, causing (mumble mumble) and leading to dropped signal. Making things more interesting, Apple and AT&T are apparently using several different types of micro SIMs, including one with a significantly larger contact area -- you can check a shot of two of our iPhone 4 micro SIMs side-by-side after the break.
So does all this hocus pocus actually work? In a word, no. We tried it on a few of our particularly bad iPhone 4s -- the ones that consistently demonstrate the issue -- and achieved no meaningful results. We even went so far as to line the edge of one of our trimmed micro SIMs in electrical tape (pictured above) to ensure that no contact was being made, and we were still able to flatline the phone using the "death grip." Sorry folks -- we wanted this to work too, but it looks like people are just being hopefully optimistic. I am so unpleased with this phone now that apple is out here playing on my intelligence. it would be to much like right to admit the phone has a huge flaw. hell you don't even have to grip the phone, just lay it there and touch those two gaps at the bottom and watch your signal go away. i will be returning this thing saturday and apple can kiss my ass. if one of them mutha fuckas was in my face saying that shit in them emails, we would have to get physical. apple has shown their true colors with this shit.

not at all, i'm just saying that technically this is their first fuck up.. its worth it to see how they play it next.. i expect them to correct the issue, not only from a firmware side of things but from a manufacturing side of things..
unlike other companies who will release the iphone 5, or the iphone captain insano, or the iphone dark elf or marvel etc to hide their last phone fuck up they have to fix the iphone 4 if they dont fuck em, but they are not in a position to just let it ride as is..
and if they make hardware revisions and the problem goes away then yeah, double fuck em

apple can blame my hands, at&t the moon the mercury in the air, the question is "will there be a working solution going forward?" and "will they treat customers who bring in their phones with replacements?"
there were issues with one release of an ipod battery.. as far as i knew from reports and from people i knew, apple did not actively seek a recall but if you called with issues they replaced your phone at no cost.. and the problem never returned...
handle this iphone 4 issue like that and well, like i said after a while this topic will be no more than a memory..

Furthermore what if you came from another provider? Now you will have 2 credit inquiries. Someone in my situation would have been pissed leaving T-Mobile only to come right back because they give me a special rate for being a loyal/longtime customer. They tell you upfront that once you cancel your contract you can't get it back.

I have had dropped calls. But like i said before in my home i get full signal. My 3GS loads bgol fast. Now i upgraded to the i4 and the page loads slow as hell in the same damn spot the 3GS was in.
