don't care what ya'll say about bryant but this mos definitely solidifies his place as one of the (very very very few) greatest of all time.

I'm happy for dude. He's a true champion.

The end.

Kobe is great but I have such a hard time putting him in that rarified air after a performance like this in a game 7...and its not the first time.

Lakers shot 37 free throws and Boston shot 17...:smh::smh::smh::smh:

:eek::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Celtics lost this series when they didn't get homecourt advantage. They can't play that shit in Boston. The fans would've had the refs heads on a plate next to some neckbones.

Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown. Does Jerry West get a ring for this shit? He should get a ring every year the Lakers win until Gasol retires.

Nobody to give it to? Artest and Gasol won that shit in the closing minutes. I would've gave it to the refs but Stern ain't gonna do no shit like that. I would've given it to Artest because that 3? That shit was the clincher. Had he missed that? The damn Celtics over here finally hitting shit. Rondo even hit a 3. Its tie game after Rondo hits that 3 without Artest 3. That's the MVP in my eyes. No hate on Kobe. I don't like how they're forcing his kids and shit on us but Kobe didn't win this game for the Lakers today. But it means more money for Stern to give Kobe another MVP trophy so I already know the game.

the refs didn't decide this series. both teams got favorable calls throughout both teams flop both teams cry both teams hack. its a wash in that regard. nobody on either side had a consistent enough effort to be a clear winner. if boston won nobody couldve been mvp there either its just one of those years where there is no clear cut winner so the star gets it. i dont even pay attention to kobe and his family doesnt even matter to me. but i don't think artest couldve gotten it for 1 shot. now if he would have had 50 points or something with kobe doing what he did he would have won. only person they could have given it to other than kobe was fisher because he bailed them out plenty of times but him like everyone else disappeared at times.

Bottom line, the Lakers DONT win this game without Ron Ron, they dont win the Series without Kobe and the Maestro (Phil Jackson)!

He's right fam. It's about the whole series. Not just who made a few big shots. And even though Ron came through when he needed to, overall he was up and down through the series. Kobe didn't really have a great series but he put up a few 30 point games, though it was in ugly fashion. So he got it by default.

I wouldn't have argued a co-mvp w/ Bryant and possibly Gasol though. :dunno:

They dont win without his 15 boards chief!!! :D

they couldve
they dont win without artest's d and timely shots. they dont win without fishers big shots and they dont win without gasols big shots.

if kobe had 7 or 5 boards the outcome would have been the same let's not put too much on his rebounds

Too true I remeber thinking the Artest deal was questionable but Lakers management has shown time and time again they know what they're doing.

From Nobody:

Here's a stat.

What NBA player won a finals MVP and shot 5-19 in the closeout game?

I'll give you the answer - Michael Jordan in the 96 finals.

Does that mean Michael Jordan is no Jordan?

N!gga, it's the FINALS MVP, not game 7 MVP.

Gasol you have an argument with, but he disappeared in some stretches in thje finals just like Kobe did.

Oh good point. Actually I didn't even think about it like that. I always thought Finals MVP was for the best player of Game 7. I guess because the person who usually wins the Finals MVP had the best game in Game 7. But you may be right. I guess you have to give it to Kobe. Garnett was getting in Gasol's ass all series.

 at everyone against the Lakers blaming the refs! Y'all know damn well Celtics got more in their favor and Lakers still won the series!

People are already wildin' out outside Staples Center, jumping on cars and shit! But that's L.A. for you!

Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown. Does Jerry West get a ring for this shit? He should get a ring every year the Lakers win until Gasol retires.

it wasn't a straight up trade.

"Brown was traded along with Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, the draft rights to Marc Gasol, and the Lakers' 2008 and 2010 first-round draft picks for Pau Gasol"

they got 6 players and some cash for gasol. they made out like a bandit if u just go by volume. but if u go by success and championships won, the lakers are STILL laughin all the way 2 the bank

You mean Michael Jordan had a bad game

So ummm did Rondo prove his worth or showed how much of a mediocure PG he is?

He's not mediocre

The Lakers height bothered him, and their defense.

It just shows he's still young, and isn't quite in the Derron Williams and Chris Paul class.

If he develops a mid-range jumper he's going to be dangerous as hell

:lol::lol:
read my other posts, im objectional and real. im pointing out facts i don't hate kobe and you could clearly see that from my other posts. just cause i'm right don't call it hate and laugh.. that doesn't make you right

Kobe better hope the lakers win this game or he is going to get blitzed by the media...

Even if they lost they still would've made excuses for him.

Boston had the game in hand but couldn't close it out. Great finish though.

Credit to the lakers for winning back to back.

Gasol has put himself on place (IMO) to be a hall of fame player and Phil Jackson is setting himself up to have a record that will probably never be broken.

dayum! thousands of mutha fukas taking to the streets and turnin over a truck and sheit :smh: downtown l.a. lookin really crazy right about now
