Im still shocked that cats dont see how being that ball dominant after a half-time break completely freezes your teammates out of the offense and will likely never recover..too long of a stretch without touches.... that is why it is key to be effective like that in the 4th...

The lakers play best when they run the triple post... not when Kobe (whether missing or making) is being ball dominant like that..

I've never really had knee trouble, but I feel a little bad for Bynum to work so hard to be able to get on the court and help his team win tonight, yet his presence was rendered ineffective due to a low IQ chucker that took both of the team's big men out of the game.

Yeah. I didnt think that was an upgrade. I always though he was one of those unsung players for the Lakers that was key to their title run. Besides him hitting some key shots and defending well on-ball...he actually CLOSED MULTIPLE games out last year in the playoffs with steals at the end of games...he did it twice in one series... plus he always helped the Lakers speed the game up and that would have been helpful against the Celtics who thrive in a slower-paced game
33% shooting in the first half, no one for the Lakers was hitting anything and then quickly down by 11 to start the 3rd BEFORE Kobe started shooting, if not for that i believe the game was headed for a blowout. He stopped all the shooting with like 2 or 3 minutes left in the quarter and the Lakers were down by 6 to enter the 4th quarter. What hurt the Lakers were the defensive lapses in, especially in the 4th quarter. Everytime the Lakers got it down to like 5 or so they would fall asleep on defense and the Celtics would get a easy basket

The lakers were down by more than 6 entering the 4th. The lead for Boston INCREASED during the 3rd.
But getting back to this point.
Let me ask you a question. Im serious man.
Do you think the Lakers are most effective when Kobe is taking 50-75 percent of the FGAs or when the Lakers are running the triple post effectively and everyone is getting touches.
Personally, I think the lakers are unbeatable and by far the best team in the league when they are running the triple post.
And that can even incorporate Kobe taking a lot of shots.
My problem is that he was so ball dominant that he was the only person even touching the ball at all....im not even talking about taking the shot....i mean literally, no other offensive player even TOUCHED the ball.
He can take the shot...but the ball needs to go into the post and be rotated to distribute the ball so the offense can flow fluidly.
Also, you have to understand how much of a negative effect that has on your big men when they dont get touches. Im not even talking about even shots...i mean just a touch on the offensive end....they need to be INVOLVED in the offensive production.
So just how good is Phill really? He only coaches teams with MVP winners as far as I know.

I agree on the other 1st two Celtic wins. Game 2 was arguably stolen even tho Rondo was a beast....and game 4 the Lakers got outhustled by the Celtic bench.
But the one tonight was pretty much the Celtics game to lose. A really shining example of how team play beats one on one most times.
I still think the only way the Celtics wins the series is in 7.
