Iron Man 2 SUCKS!!

I thought the villian in Iron Man 1 was the worse part of the movie but Downey didn't need a strong villian because he was great as Stark. I expected Downey to pretty much do the same for IM2. Iron Man is like the Flash, they both have horrible arch enemies.

Cats watching the cam bootleg of a movie like this is doing themselves a disservice and will be overcritical of the story to compensate for the shitty quality video...that's why I stopped fuckin w/ cam bootlegs like what? 6 years ago hahahahahahaha niggas is crazy for that shit...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right..Right...because "story lines" don't mean shit unless the video is in high def.:rolleyes:

Boring as hell. That is all.

after downloading and watching i'd like to 2nd that motion... and i had a movie marathon day today... while i was downloading iron man2, i was watchin brooklyns finest (which is mad dope)... then i saw cheadle in iron man like... wtf!?

Iron Man 2 = hot garbage...

but if you got a lil man (or girl who likes that type of movie) then i'd recommend it for a lil quality outting

My brother and one of my employees came over today to get paychecks and they watched it today to. They said the same thing, "The movie drug on"....there was more unproductive banter between these actors than a "date film".....

It had some high points but overall the movie sucked ass.

fixed

no no no flash has gorilla grodd
the rouges gallery
professor zoom

great villians!

ironmans foes suck
I don't know if you were being sarcastic or for real. I agree Gorilla Grodd is interesting, but most of the Rogues Gallery is ass! Captain Boomerang?! Trickster?! Weather Wizard?! Mirror Master?!

The only ones that are halfway decent is Grodd, Captain Cold, Girder, and Zoom

it's bound to suck if you watched a cam version which looks as if you have rubbed vaseline into your eyes and sounds like you have butter in your ears. This is the sole reason why I never download r5's, TS or cam rips, they will mess up any good movie. Sound and picture quality is paramount to enjoying any movie

Superman's villians aren't that bad and they are somewhat equal to him. You got Doomsday, G. Zod, Braniac. Iron Man or Flash has no one on that level. Some people think Superman 2 is the greatest hero flick of them all because of the Supes vs. Zod and them. WB just haven't had the balls to actually make a superman movie with Doomsday or Brainiac yet...

Wild Wild West. It will do ok to pretty good financially, but it will suck. Maybe not as bad as WWW, but it will suck.

would they be able to pull it off though? I think they are trying not to go the whole magical powers route and trying to keep it somewhat realistic

That's probably where they're going wrong.

Marvel Comic books are larger than life so restricting the movies to the mundane is kinda stupid. :smh:

Oh ok these bums is judging it off the bootleg...of course they gonna be bored sitting down watching a lousy audio/video dsipaly of the movie...that's why I was dying @ niggas going apeshit off the fuckin cam release in 2010...fuckin silly ass niggas...thanks for putting this in perspective...

That Cam-Rip didn't have the ending in it. The real ending is that SHIELD agent finding Thor's hammer in a crater in the desert and calling Nick Fury about it.

EXACTLY....thread fail

One muthafucka says he doesn't like it, and then dudes are like damn :(

As if his opinion will be exactly the same as yours.

It's some following dickriding muthafuckas up here :smh:

Watch the shit for yourself

And watching a cam version :smh:

I still have the original bootleg of all bootlegs "Boys in the Hood" with the numbers n shit runnin across the bottom. That shit was a good movie...on bootleg! As long as i can hear what they're sayin and the cam ain't movin, you can obviously tell if a movie is interesting or not.
Bullshit. A story line is.

after downloading and watching i'd like to 2nd that motion... and i had a movie marathon day today... while i was downloading iron man2, i was watchin brooklyns finest (which is mad dope)... then i saw cheadle in iron man like... wtf!?

Exactly!!!

I did a presentation a few years ago for the Houston Library system all about creating comics.

One of the kids told another kid that a comic book isn't "any good" unless the artwork is good. Bullshit. What makes any medium "good" whether it be comics or movies is the story line. If you don't start with a strong story and build around that then no matter how "good" something looks it will be shit.

The look of a fucking film, whether bootleg or not doesn't have shit to do with the story. The story was boring as shit, GET OVER IT. I saw Transformers 2 in the theater and I and many other walked out shaking our heads....

I'm not telling motherfuckers not to go see it in the theaters. If they want to spend their hard earned bread, that's on them. I'm just giving my opinion on a film I waited on for a while letting me down.

*Was it as bad as Transformers 2? No way....But it did suffer from the sophomore slump.....the same way "The Matrix Reloaded" did.....

No red cape , no ~ S ~ on his chest , just a super fake story about a flying iron suit.
( and i grew up on Marvel comics , :hmm: you'd be better off searching for that post here on Black Panther ).

when iron man 1 came out it was live but then dark knight came out and just upped the ante absurdly. i thought maybe IM2 would try to respond, make it more realistic, that type of thing. guess not.

the trailers pretty much show all the major scenes in the film, and whats up with that bitch with the obvious red wig? Kick Ass is the best comic movie this year

Best comic movie this year? Albeit Kick Ass was the best comic movie this year... so far, it is a bit premature to say such. It is just May. :hmm:

And the bitch in the obvious red wig was The Black Widow. :smh:

DAMN DRAY..
thanks for ruining my DAY. :(

then again, Thanks for saving my money. :D

Marvel has been on point with their movies as of late, so I wouldn't go by that assessment.

That Cam-Rip didn't have the ending in it. The real ending is that SHIELD agent finding Thor's hammer in a crater in the desert and calling Nick Fury about it.

People are idiots saying a movie ended abruptly... from watching a cam with the ending cut.:smh:

I think some scenes may have been cut out. It did seem rushed. I'm sure the CSI nerds at SHH will find out.

Iron Man 2: World’s first review - ‘mind-numbingly dull, chaotic and unwatchable’

EXCLUSIVE By David Edwards 27/04/2010

1/5

One of the biggest surprises of 2008 was Iron Man, an honest-to-goodness crowd-pleaser that boasted not just a great story and stirring special effects but which cemented the comeback of Robert Downey Jr.

Casting the former hellraiser as the latest superhero was a masterstroke; his devil-may-care attitude and that wicked glint in his eye proving a refreshingly alternative to the clean-cut rivals such as Tobey ‘Spider-man’ Maguire and Brandon ‘Superman’ Routh.

Now we have the much-anticipated sequel whose world premiere was rerouted from London to LA following the volcano eruption in Iceland.

Packed into a cinema in the distinctly unstarry Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush, there were no celebs and no red carpet but, thanks to GMT, at least we got to see the film first.

What none of realised was that another disaster was about to unfold in front of our eyes, for Iron Man 2 is a travesty – a mind-numbingly dull, chaotic and often unwatchable muddle. It might even be the ultimate masterclass in how not to make a movie.

Given the strength of part one, the sequel is not just a terrific failure but a terrific disappointment.

Things kick off in a squalid Moscow flat as the heavily-tattooed Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) sets to work with a hammer and welding torch on a mysterious metalwork project following the death of his father.

Meanwhile back in the States, our first glimpse of Iron Man comes as he leaps from a plane to land at the Stark Industries Expo, his metal suit peeling away to reveal Tony Stark (Downey Jr) who tells the whooping crowd how his metal creation has brought about world peace. With the ability to fly at supersonic speeds and fire lightning from the palms of his hands, it seems the world’s aggressors have laid down their arms.

But problems loom. The US Senate is pressing Stark to give up the secrets of this startling technology to the military, egged on by slimy businessman Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). There’s also the small matter of our hero’s health, with the energy pack fitted in his chest driving up his blood-toxicity levels.

That’s only the first 20 minutes or so but I’m going to stop for a second and ask if you’re thinking what I’m thinking, namely that Iron Man 2 is making the same mistake that was levelled at Spider-man 3 of throwing too much into the mix. Do we really need Stark vs. the US Government, a rival tycoon and the mysterious Vanko? Aside from muddling proceedings, that’s three bad guys we’re expected to hate.

Anyways, it turns out Vanko has been knocking together his own energy pack and launches an attack on his bitter rival as he’s taking part in a Formula 1 event in Monte Carlo. Why is Stark taking part in a car race? Dunno. Why is Vanko so angry with Stark? No idea.

With the raging Russian contained and sent to jail, he receives an unlikely offer from Hammer to team up and build an army of their own iron men. Meanwhile (yes, there’s more) Stark’s old pal Lt Col Rhodes (Don Cheadle) may be about to betray him.

Confused yet? Me too – but wait, there’s still more as, for reasons none too apparent, Stark hands control of his business to his long-suffering sidekick Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and then starts to fancy one of his employees (Scarlett Johansson).

And that’s not all. It seems Iron Man has attracted the attention of the mysterious Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) who drops by to... well, talk a bit then bugger off.

How do all these elements come together? More often than not, they don’t. This is a patchwork quilt without the stitching, a muddle of too many ideas and too many characters that connect loosely at best.

If that wasn’t bad enough, our iron-clad hero is off screen for 90 per cent of the time. As Potts tells Stark at one point: “People expect you to be Iron man -- and he’s disappeared.” No kidding.

In fact Iron Man appears just four times and only two of these are battle scenes.

They’re not badly done but what’s meant to be the big, show-stopping face-off at the end is overshadowed by a perplexing, out-of-nowhere romantic pay-off.

I don’t know what went on behind the scenes while the film was being made but rumours of reshoots and recuts have been swirling around the internet. Was this the film director Jon Favreau wanted to make? I doubt it. After Elf, the underrated Zathura and the first instalment, he’s proved himself a capable pair of hands. Perhaps the blame lies higher up the studio food chain.

Whoever’s at fault, if Favreau still wishes to make the series a trilogy, this is a franchise in serious need of rewiring.

Iron Man 2 (Cert 12A) is released this Friday.

Missing the point. Every time one of these things are leaked someone starts saying how it sucks and is a waste of money for the same reasons. Slow, story has been told, weak effects and on and on. And usually the film still does good business. Not because people are sheep or didn't know any better but because in reality its a decent film.

Threads like this make me wonder how would people trash star wars online if the internet was public back in the 70s. "It's a ripoff of the Seven Samurai" "You can figure out the plot in the first 15 minutes" "OMG it's drags on forever!" The point is to decide for yourself.

I'm not the only one that thought the story was awful, slow and all over the place. What does the quality of the film have to do with the fact that the story and directing was horrible?

You keep trying to tie "visual clarity" with a lackluster story line. One has nothing to do with the other....

That was the first time I posted in this thread. All I'm saying is that the same thing has been said about every major film that leaked before release. Not just by people in this form, but everywhere. The internet is just a big echo chamber when it comes to negativity.

My experience has been different, I've avoided bootlegs in the past, heard the bad reviews, saw the movie (big screen) and then been like, damn those dudes were right.

I'm still not sure how me seeing the movie in the theater will somehow magically make the movies lackluster storyline and directing execution somehow better.

I really think the writers needed to work on the Stark/Rhodes Relationship (no homo). We know they're best friends but this movie makes it seem as if they are just associates or something. They did that in the first movie too.

I still don't get how looking at the Globe at Flushing Meadows Park helped him to unlock the secret to his "problem".

I thought that was strange to. The way they acted in the film, it was like they weren't friends at all, it was mentioned that they were "best friends" but we barely saw them on the screen acting "friendly". It seemed like his inner circle of friends was "Happy" (John favreau) and "Pepper"....

That kind of got me too, I watched it 3 times and still couldn't figure out how he pieced together the atoms to fix the issue he was having.

So did you like the movie overall Jstorm???

Like a lot of the reviews, I felt it ended with the viewer wanting more. It managed to grab my attention for the whole 2 hours. I wasn't bored watching it but when it was over I just felt like something was missing. I think this movie was straight FILLER. People wanted another IronMan so Marvel did one even though they prob. didn't want to.

The Fight at the end was garbage. They didn't show how Bad Ass War Machine really is. I wish they gave Black Widow an accent when she revealed she worked for SHIELD.

I didn't hate it but it was in no way shape or form better than Kick-Ass. I'll wait until i hear what people who saw it in the theater have to say before I decided to pay to see it.
