Watching it now...I like but I'm a sci-fi/comic geek.
they need mandarin and fin fang foom
would they be able to pull it off though? I think they are trying not to go the whole magical powers route and trying to keep it somewhat realistic
How can you judge a film like this off a bootleg?
I'm going to see it at the theater. How can you judge a film like this off a bootleg?

Certain movies, yes I do go just to see the action. I like to see shit blow up, and lots of guns.Ummmm by watching it? Do you go to see a movie all for the visuals or for a cohesive story line?
If visuals is all that matters to you then Michael Bay did great job on Transformers.![]()
Okay so the trailers pretty much told you the whole movie. There was about 20-30 minutes of the movie that could have been shaven off (most of it was nonsensical banter and improve acting - John Favreau loves that type of back and forth for his movies)
It had some high points and some interesting ideas but all in all it didn't have the energy of the first one. Think Matrix 2 after Matrix 1, the franchise just started losing steam.
Keep in mind I was all for seeing this on the big screen (And I kinda did, streamed to my 46 inch via PS3) but overall the movie was a let down in so many ways.
I had heard it was getting bad reviews from certain sources on the web and usually I pay that no mind, but for once the early viewing critics were dead on with this one.
Where the first one was a fast ride with action and strong story this one falls flat like. It has little to no soul (like it's predecessor) whatsoever and after a while starts to feel a little campy (I won't spoil it for you but it has a lot to do with a DJ scene).
Where the movie shines IMO is when Tony is creating the tech that he uses, he approaches it like like a master chef and seeing him use the 3D displays again were really awesome.
Overall I felt like it dragged on too many times and was more or less extended to give the fans more "movie" than they needed.
I agree & Black Widow definitely did her thing. She played her role perfectlyI thought it was good. Worth the $...when it comes out. I would have liked to see more War Machine. I didn't like Whiplash at the end.He was actually better earlier in the movie. I do agree the story could have been better and not so similar to the first movie.
The introduction of Cheadle to the War Machine suit was off for some reason. I won't go into because it's a spoiler for everyone else but you know what I mean.

I agree with that. It was hard for the suspension of belief for me especially when it came to "Rhodes" his character just....I dunno felt kind of wonky and out of character.
*I have about 250 Iron Man comics in my collection from lates 70's on up to mid 90's and some of the newer stuff as well so I'm a fan, loved the first one have it on Blu-Ray but this new one was just flat. Almost like it needs major editing....
I didn't see it. The first one didn't grab me enough. And I heard it sucked.Lemme guess Transformers 2 was good to you right?
rings made with small core's like the one in ironmans chest
they should have put crimson dynamo along side whiplash in this movie
how did they come up w/ the name..it wasnt like some corny line where tony says"this suit is basically a one-man war machine!"or something did it? followed by rhodes"i like the sound of that.."![]()
Check BGOLs Hollywood forum it's there for your viewing pleasure. Drink lots of coffee you're going to need it.
I was an Amazing Spiderman collector growing up but not heavily into Iron Man. Is there a better villain in the Iron Man universe the writers could have picked than Whiplash?
Mandarin yes, Fing Fang Foom no. It would take too much time to actually explain him. They would do better going with M.O.D.O.K than FFF.they need mandarin and fin fang foom

Iron Man suffers from the same thing The Flash does....suck ass foes. The only other decent enemies is the Living Laser (the evolved pure light version) and Crimson Dynamo
What about Ultron? He's an Avengers enemy but they can always modify him into a primary Iron Man enemy. Let's not forget that with Marvel merging all the characters to make an Avengers movie soon, all the Avengers enemies can also become solo enemies for future Iron Man, Thor, Captain America,etc... flicks as well.Mandarin yes, Fing Fang Foom no. You know I was going to mention Ultron also with the other I said, but I feel Ultron is larger than just Iron Man. OF course his origin can be tweaked and he can be scaled down to be at Iron Man's level but usually it takes the WHOLE Avengers team to defeat him. Ultron is made of Adamantium, can remote control machines, and even took over Tony's armor beforeWhat about Ultron?
