Laker's vs Thunder Series Thread

Re: Thunder Series Thread

but that wasn't the question i posed.

i've seen tobe stick to the game plan once every blue moon.

the question i asked was have you seen tobe not take a FGA in 15 consecutive minutes of a game.

i can meet you part of the way. i think the supersonics played with a lot more energy, intensity and urgency. i think part of the fakers' (as a team) problem stemmed from them sensing that one of their starters was sand-bagging.

i can meet you part way again on this.

there was a stretch where lamar odom committed a sequence of personal fouls. you could see at that point that he just didn't give a fuck anymore.

but pointing out that ron artest was struggling from the field is a non-issue in my book. ron artest has been struggling the entire season. this is nothing new. he doesn't completely grasp the triple post O, and he's faced with the confounding factor of player an overlapping position in the O: simultaneous SF with tobe.

edit: forgot to address your view that the whole team played like ass. it's easy to make an entire team look like ass when you have one individual who is willing to tank a game to sabotage the group goal.

yeah, I can recall a few games where Kobe didn't shoot for at least a quarter. He fucked the lake show in game 3, and didn't play up to standard in game 4.

Re: Thunder Series Thread

apparently for some it's up for debate.

i think it's obvious that he tanked the game on both ends of the floor.

maybe it would be up for debate if this was a player who hadnt done that type of thing before

but not for him

This game is a fucken joke, as predicted the ref are handing the game over to the Lakers! In all my life I have never seen a half officiated worse than this! They are pushing shoving, slapping wrist and running through players, yet nothing is being called. I guess the message is that they are not going to allow the Thunder to handle to ball in the paint! :smh:

The are really not taking any chances!
Phil must have said, I don't want them taking any shots in the paint! Not even one!

Awll, I knew you niggas would be crying about the refs if the Lakers get up on these kats. This is playoff basketball GAME 5 niccah, no mercy for the faint hearted!!!

LA has shot one less three throw and has committed the same amount of fouls as OKC.

Also LA is home.

Game 4 - OKC shot 48 Free throws to LA's 28
Game 3 - OKC's 34 to LA's 12

But I guess that doesn't matter, right?

The only weak call was that offensive foul earlier against OKC.

What has LA up is the fact they picked up their aggressiveness, and are making plays for their big men.

I also think OKC expected LA to come out real hard and weren't prepared for it. They are caught like a deer in headlights right now.

But I see the tide changing somewhat, and I think when they settle down (both teams) OKC will see more success and make it a closer game.

Complaining about refereeing is the easiest thing to do, but this series the officiating is not so clearly one sided.

This is not Lakers/Kings 2002 or Lakers/Celtics 2008 going on.

Hell this is not even Cavs/Wizards 2007

thunder Shot 48 Free Throws I Dnt Wanna Hear Shit Outta You Crying Ass Niggas

Im not talking about the fouls, I am talking about all the none fouls in the paint, cause every time the Thunder goes in the paint, they either get smacked, pushed or shoved in the back. Yet no fouls have been called!:smh: It even got to the point were they started look back at the refs wondering what is going on.

That offensive foul got evened out. Gasol just got hit by a blatant push off elbow.

Also that foul on Kobe just now as westbrook went up could have been let go if the refs were really into helping LA. But I digress.

They are allowing a lot o contact both ways man. Also LA is the HOME TEAM dude.

If OKC gets the benefit will you bitch as much as you are doing now? please answer honestly. Are you really about fairness or you just want to see it fair in the favor of the team you are rooting for?

14 free throws, 7 personal fouls for OKC so far
7 free throws, 10 personal fouls for LA so far.

Yeah the officiating is clearly helping LA.

No foul when Kobe drives just now, Gasol gets the pass and goes up, gets hacked they call out of bounds on OKC, LA ball.

I'm just not seeing this favoritism by the refs right now.

The Thunder said fuck it, and they are not even trying to shoot in the paint no more, I dont blame them with this officiating!

Game 5 should be a great game... who knows which way it would go, but historically, there are lots of cases where the series goes back home for game 5 and the home team that just got stomped in game 4 on the road, dominates at home just as they were dominated on the road... im rooting for the Thunder, but I wouldnt be surprised if LA got in their ass in game 5.

Wait until the Thunder tries going to the paint. The only reason why it don't look as bad, as the start of the game, is because they got the memo and know that the LA paint is a no fly zone. Check it, count how many time the Thunder even goes to the paint.

Free Throw Attempts for the series:

Game 1:
OKC-24 LA-22

Game 2:
OKC-33 LA-32

Game 3:
LA-12 OKC-34

Game 4:
LA-28 OKC-48

Game 5: (1st half)

OKC-16 LA-7

Emotional bitchass niggas can just STFU now.:smh:
