Lakers got $4 million a home playoff game last year. They lose a game to OKC and they get game 5 in LA. $91 million payroll. Over $21.42 million in luxury taxes. Its possible.

I agree. The thunder wasn't going to get swept. I couldn't see that. They are an 8th seed, but to me they're an 8th seed in name only.

Remember this is a team that won 50 games and is the 8 th seed

in the east they'd be the 5th seed, and truly be even higher playing more games against a weaker conference.

Watching this series is the only time I've seen the thunder play all year... an i don't like watching them Westbrook is waaaay better than i thought he was (although he does have a favorable matchup against D. Fish... I'd definitely get rid of Mo Will for him in a heartbeat )

They are a small team really, an the way they run their off thru durant no wonder he won the scoring title He's smooth as hell offensively an defending Kobe in the 4th is a great leadership move with Sephalosia (sp) out...

but i don't like watching the team play, i just don't find them exciting they don't play like the spurs, but they are about as exciting as them to me

I actually expected the Thunder to win two games in this series. This team is a damn good 8th sead. Combine that with the way they finished the season and the way the Lakers finished the season (and with the injuries) I knew they would make the Lakers sweat a bit. That is why Phil Jackson used up his shit with the refs so early in the playoffs talking shit about Durant

I expect the Lakers to come out strong in game 4 though. The Thunder will need to be at their best and start very strong in game 4.

That's one way of looking at it. A more objective system might define a shot's quality by whether or not it went in, which is the entire purpose and goal of a shot unless it was an intentional miss.

C, i understand that such an idea is incomprehensible for you. you cannot digest the idea that even IF a player goes 20-20 FGAs during the course of a game, that those FGAs could be harmful to his/her team.

bad shots can leave your team out of position for defensive transition.

strings of bad shots can have a chilling effect on your teammates.

forced shots undermine team O goals and morale.

and that's just scratching the surface.
