Laker's vs Thunder Series Thread

Not only that, the Lakers slap the wrist, push off on rebounds, and go over the back constantly, and the refs seldom call it at the end of the game.

Let me make something clear. After this stop.

If you haven't noticed, the NBA apparently lets defending champions get away with extra contact. It happened with San Antonio, Los Angeles in the three peat, Detroit after 2004, it happened with Boston after 2008, and it's happening with Los Angeles.

Also, benefit of calls go towards higher seeded teams. But it's funny because until the end OKC was getting the calls. They allowed OKC to play very physical throughout the game - they mugged LA in the paint. I called it good defense though, because I don't bitch about refs.

Oklahoma City still looks good to win a game... It will be impressive if the Lakers can shut them out.

Thunder ain't got shit to be ashamed of. They've proven they can take the Lakers even with the refs fucking around. Jeff Green got a nice look.

Did this nigga Durant really just take a 3? Why? A bad 3 at that.

Scott Brooks drew up that play.. he had a good look off that screen.. I kno exactly why he drew that up too.. he figured,
"fuck it.. calls ain't goin our way, we won't win in OT so we might as well go for tha win right now"

I don't blame him for that at all wit how this game went

You kind of feel bad for OKC

They got some ballers on that squad though

They will learn from this

Yea they gonna contend for the next 10 years if they just make sure they re-sign Westbrook, Durant and Green. Ibaka was nice but they need another BIG. Ibaka only 20 years old as well. Thunder gonna be alright. Harsden gonna be a player too. Ever since Durant they've been hitting on draft picks.

which is exactly when it fucking counts:lol:
just cause defending champs get calls doesnt mean its right.
all i want is for the players to decide it and not the refs, thats it. i dont care who wins this series

Refs gave the Lakers this shit. God forbid the Thunder steal one in LA. I swear I hate the NBA sometimes. Let them niggas play. They letting the Lakers play. Why can't the Thunder play?

That's why I laugh in peoples face when they say the Mavs would beat the Lakers in a series if they faced them. :smh:

Yea but with Durant on my team I let him take whoever is guarding him one on one and go for the foul.

But somebody tell me how Ron Artest fouling ass only got 1 foul? Seriously?

Refs made one. ONE terrible call at the end, and it didn't affect the outcome because OKC was still within 2 with 10 seconds left.

So.............

There were plenty borderline calls for BOTH teams throughout the game.

Have any of you actually looked at how many times the teams went to the line, before you decided to start this conspiracy?

And why the fuck was Fish sitting on the bench with six fouls if they let the Lakers play.

@Barkley apologizing

yeah in time OKC is gonna be a major problem. Lakers didnt win this game, they escaped.

 No way in hell Mavs even compete in that series. Only way you can compete with the Lakers is if you got a defensive stopper who the refs respect. Ron Artest 2 fouls? Really? I remember the good ol' days when Artest played for a sorry ass team and he would foul out damn near every game. Now that he's a Laker he only got 2 fouls. Mavs don't stand a chance with the Lakers and their 6th man the refs.

c/s

back in tha 90's, refs would NEVER decide a game (especially in tha playoffs).. it was an all out war in tha last 2 minutes of close games, no matter who was playin

This is the first time I had the chance to really peep Durant game for an extensive time, and I see some glaring flaws, 1- he plays more like Nowitzki 2.1 than Kobe or LeBron, he don't know how to use his height or play to his height.
2- He thinks he has better handle than he has. 3-Can't play "d" and don't know how to box out and crash the boards. 4-Though he is a good scorer, if you play him tough and eye to eye, he tends to buckle.

Perfect word to describe this game. "Escaped". And the league better be scared. Durant only 21? He's gonna be dominating the league for atleast 15 more years.

Now that I think about it, imagine if the Blazers made the right pick? Blazers would be NASTY.

Mavs still got a shot

Lakers arent looking as strong as they have in the past

that nigga was guarding durant all game and had 2 fouls????????

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

So Jordan didn't get calls :hmm:

Shut the fuck up :smh:

bitch plz.. you ever seen how tha Knicks and Bulls locked horns in tha playoffs in close games down tha stretch? Jordan or anybody else would not be takin free throws down tha stretch of games

go eat a dick up :smh:

I think he has a killer mid and outside game, but he needs to post up more a la Melo. So I can see that Dirk comparison a little. I can see it happening as he gets bigger and fills out. Dirk was shooting fadeaways when the 6'6" defensive star Roger Mason switched on him.

it be's that way sometimes :smh:

Looks like things haven't changed in laker land.

Game 3 in Oklahoma City should take the series 2-1 if the lakers don't learn how to play as a team.

Stop crying.

If the Lakers are getting preferential treatment, it's because they earned it. Ya'll fuckers were laughing when they were getting ousted in the first round.

Of course, the Lakers are always more scrutinized than most teams. You let most people tell it, every Lakers ring has been decided by the refs.

Go to sleep, fellas. This shit is over.

Difference between him and nowitzki is KD is 6-9 230 and Dirk is 7 245.

One is a SF (wing) the other is a power forward.

So Nowitzki should be getting in the post here and there.

The problem in thi sgame is not Durant, it's Jeff Green.

The 8th seed Thunder was right there with LA this game, right down to the end.

Jeff green shot 2-11, and 4-12 in game 1. He needs to hit his shots. This is the biggest reason they lost this game.

I've seen them, I'm wondering have you fucking seen them :smh:

People always complained about the Bulls gettin calls.

Did you forget the push off against Russell dumb ass :hmm:
or the fuckin hack aka steal on Karl Malone?

Just go play NBA Live muthafucka :smh:

So Jordan didn't get calls :hmm:

Shut the fuck up :smh:

Jordan got calls but he usually got them the way James gets them and the way kobe used to get them, by driving to the hole. Today I see more bullshit fouls called on jump shots and they are not consistent with it.
Remember last year vs the Magic when LeBron caught a defender up in the air and jumped into him and it cost the Cavs that game.
The refs decided not to make that call, Kobe makes a killing with that move and I never seen it not called a foul when he does it.

Come on man, stop it. That was a 4+ pt swing because on the next play, Kobe went to the hole and got a blocking foul that should have been a charge. That's a 4+pt swing in a 3pt game. :hmm:

For you to argue that the Lakers have historically not gotten calls is ludicrous. And yes, I agree that champions get more calls but teams like the Lakers and Boston have gotten them for decades.

Teams have to go above and beyond to beat them.
