Serious question.

How is this 'good shit?'

I mean that seriously, I want to know what your perspective is on this that makes you enjoy it.

Aight Megs,

Aight Megs,

Here is why I like alot.

I've been a Marvel guy my whole life until (around the time Planet Hulk ended almost as bad as Civil War) I read the 'Infinite Crisis' Graphic Audio Book. In that shit Superboy Prime kills LOTS of people :D and seemed really crazy...I was like hell nawl that aint in no damn comic book. and a Black man with a corny name 'Mr. Terrific' and one power (invisisble to machines), kinda peeked my interest. because in Marvel everyone has a cool name and a power or ability that was pretty cool. His seemed odd and I wanted to know more

Then I read Infinite Crisis  and I said fuck Marvel (except The Thunderbolts)

I've read Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis, 52, & Blackest Night. All of them have impact on the larger world. DC characters remember that XYZ died years ago or that the events in some huge storyline actual DID take place. In Marvel no one remembers shit

This particular book is good because of several mufuckas

Maxwell Lord - The way he prepared himself to lose blood and fall unconscious was sweet as was how he said it. And WTF was he doing

Osiris - I love the sub story of the Black Adam family. What happened to them in 52 was sad to me. Then in the Dark Age shit, Black Adam is so close to finally getting back with his chick and  they are both turned to stone. Osiris comes back and now he's focused on bringin them back...but the vision of the broken statues :(

Sinestro - I wondered why no one would just go get the alien/earth dude and low and behold.

There u go

BTW you know of any turn based superhero RPGs?

Hmmm,

Well...That's cool. I think Marvel cornered the market though on characters with subtle powers and off names. Granted outside of 'Marvel Team-Up' and 'Avengers: Initiative' many of them were not used as often as DC. Though Marvel has come out with One-shots and mini-series like 'The Destroyer' and 'Terror' that I think cover that fill.

BTW - Check out 'Marvel Team-Up's League of Losers' story arc to see what I mean.

I really wish I could enjoy a DC book sometimes outside of Vertigo and their off-beat books like 'Empire.'

The problem I have OUTSIDE OF WRITER error (sometimes I really think they take their fans for granted and say fuck and add shit that makes no sense but has shock to add new readers)...is that are very quick to reset/retcon their storylines on top of that they rarely classify their characters well. Marvel is in NO WAY innocence of these same problems but as whole they use to do it a lot less than them.

I shit you not...I give a DC book a shot all the time like 2x a year...and before I know it...a fucking gorilla is punching the hero in the face and talking shit...Can't eat it.

There are quite a few but not name-brand heroes outside of X-Men Fall Of the Mutants which is an 80s turn/real time based RPG game. It's OK but that shit jumps the shark when the X-Men have to kill Vietnamese solders...

http://free-game-downloads.mosw.com...ames_x_z/x_men_2_the_fall_of_the_mutants.html

You can check out my 'Free And Legal PC Games' list with 775 games...there are a few Superhero games on there including some MMOs.

Most of the Superhero games are Action or Fighting games.

Say what you want but the whole War of Light meta-crossover has had me entertained from start to finish to far.

I went from reading 0 GL books regularly to reading all of them monthly.

I hear you but IMO...It's easy to be entertained...harder to be intrigued and challenged. I'm looking for a different kick then others when it comes to my reading material.

Marvel's and DC's mainstream books just don't cut the mustard anymore.

i thought it was terrible. but to each his own i guess.

Agreed.

The cats at Midtown Comics had me dying last night.

For every copy of Brightest Day sold they gave ppl a mini bag of Skittles. When I asked the cashier why they were doing that...they said it was to soften the blow of the content.
