What's the difference between a bitch and a lady?

I was chopping it up with a colleague of mine, he's 39, I'm 28, and we're talking about women, etc. I'm telling him about how I get the worsest of women, bitch this, bitch that, this bitch, that bitch. He's like, you gotta stop fucking w/ bitches man . I'm . Then he says, "Find you some nice ones." I say, "ain't none." He says, "Find out where the good ones hang out at." I say, "ain't no good ones. They don't make 'em like that no mo'." We go back and forth for a second and he's like, "I guess that's what 'Dre was talking about on "The Love Below"... 'where all the good girls at? where do they hang out at?'" I said, "yeah, exactly. Ain't none."


Now I'm conflicted about this a little, but sadly I think I've dealt with bitches for so long in such a great capacity that I don't know the difference between a bitch and a lady.

What I was getting at before being derailed is again a woman that you think is a bitch is a lady to someone.

I think you need to define what you consider to be a bitch homeboy. That may be slanting what you are receiving and you may be able to better understand what I am saying.

Cause I know "bitches" who don't talk to dudes, will cuss you out if you step to them the wrong way, don't need a man for shit, don't want a man for shit, too good for any nigga, too smart to listen to shit you have to say, stay with an attitude, stay pissed off, all about them all the time...bitch.

I've seen those same women when they are in their "element" be the nicest, kindest, gentle, loving, caring individual ever. Know why? Because NOBODY is pissed off all the time.

So see if all you encounter are bitches then it's something you are putting out there that is attracting that trait.

Andy I have to disagree, a real lady will always be a real lady. She will handle whatever is required without crossing that line.

I'm not going to say potentially the possibility doesn't exist but a real lady will never cross that line IMO.

For some guys all a woman has to do is be respectful and never sleep around while staying at home keeping the kids is a queen.

Girl, I see good in other people.... many people. It's just that the disdain that I have for the negative ways of people just leads me to be disgusted with them.

For instance, women choose men based on (financial) security , and feel like they *deserve* for him to take care of anything their heart desires. Yet, they don't have as much to offer stock-wise, not just monetarily. Also, why do they feel like they *deserve* something, anything, that they haven't and aren't willing to work for?!?

This is disgusting to me . No matter how fine/gorgeous they may be.

I'm not a selfish person, but I have reservations about being with someone that may possibly be manipulative as hell just to get what she wants. It can can be perceived as her compromising until she's fed up and she wants to unleash the floodgates that she's been building and holding. Now, because things *read "I"* didn't turn out how she expected, she's unhappy and has been for some time now. All this is no fault of my own, but guess who will bear the brunt of her burden?

I'm just saying, the difference between a bitch and a lady is a thin line.

They don't make 'em like they used to.

Also, let me say this while it's fresh on my mind.

A few years ago I lost a good friend and shortly after I met his wife and mama, etc. I knew him from the street.

As it turns out, I learned a lot about him that I didn't know, all from his relationships with others. Particularly, his mother.

This woman is the epitomy of a lady. I can say nothing bad about her, in all honesty.
She's sweet, but not a pushover. She means what she says, and her actions show it. Very active, very caring, very giving.... but not a sucker.

Anyway, seeing how she treats people that she cares about and interacts with them taught me a lot about myself, as well as what a lady really is. Everytime I'm around her or within earshot I'm soaking up game.

One example of her really showing her true colors and handling a situation well was at a graduation dinner for her grandson, her daughter's son. Her daughter used to hit from both sides of the plate, if you know what I mean, so she invited some her 'alternative' friends that knew her son. Of course, grandma didn't really agree with that lifestyle, or so it was perceived through body language and short, polite responses, but she didn't step out of her character. She was always cordial.
One of the lesbians even went so far as to call her out during a toast, "I wanna hear from mama on this one...what you think? .... Don't it? Ain't that the truth?"
Provoking a response, and grandma was every bit of a lady and said a few kind words, kept it short, and moved forward.

That was new to me. Didn't grow up witnessing anything like that.

Another thing about her is that even in death she's displayed a level of devotion for her son that I have never seen or experienced in my life.

If she looks like either of these pictures then she is approachable and probably has a good head on her shoulders. I can't guarantee you a successful relationship. However getting a woman that is descent looking and takes care of herself is a start. Start by looking at the top of the barrel juxtaposed to the bottom. Good luck.

A definition of a real woman will vary from person to person.
But here is mine:

A woman who takes care of home, this includes her man, housekeeping, bills, children and cooking if necessary. She knows what is going on w/ her children at school and knows who her child/childrens friends are. She knows her husbands desires, needs & wants and knows to let him be a man and to submit. Meaning she knows when to stand her ground w/ her man and when to fall back. She also knows that before she can take care of anyone else, she has to know how to take care of herself. She keeps her appearance up i.e. her hair nice and her body clean. Her clothes FIT her!
She looks out for her parent/parents and is there in need. She doesnt talk about problems, but solves them. She is knowledgeable of her community and helps in building it up and keeping it strong. A real woman doesnt need to a ton of attention from various men. She is confident and secure. A real woman doesnt need to say....I AM A REAL WOMAN! She just is....
Lastly something my grandma used to say...A real woman knows when to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Partially true. Stimuli in the formative years does play a big role in determining whether a woman is a bitch or a lady. However women don't just bounce back and forth between the two though.

Good women and bitches are not born, they are made. The values that are instilled in a child, the things that that are exposed to as they grow up are what makes them either a bitch or a lady. You don't see a lot of good ones out here becuase of, as Bernie Mac put it, "punk ass parents". People are no longer raising their daughters to be a good woman. They are raising them to be man-haters, spoiled brats, and or whores.
