Fuck it. im sayin it. Ross the best in the game right now......(NEW SHIT!!)

There's truth to his statement, niggas in the game will tell you the same. Jeezy is street cred for Jay, like Beanie was. Since he aint fucking with beans...enter Jeezy. Got the nigga on BP3, in his OTNO video, & brought the nigga on tour with him. Ross would be there too had he not fucked up with that CO shit.

thank you.

To the OP, dont trip homie, I fucks with Ross. His music just seems more mature to me man, and he got to be one of the best beat selecting rappers in the game...

I don't think Rawse would ever get on a tour with Jay. Rawse isn't really a mainstream rapper. Def Jam doesn't even market him as one. Jeezy got platinum plaques. Probably the biggest rapper in the game not named TI, Em, Jay or Wayne. The Jeezy move made sense for when Jay comes to the West or the South. I went to that concert when it was down here and Jay sort of uses Jeezy as a intermission. He raps before him and let's Jeezy rock the stage then ends the show.

Ross, Jeezy, & Luda are the franchise right now @ DJ. He gets a push, but he's not crossing over with the fans. The shit with 50 hurt him, because it took away from the quality music he had on the album. I went to the concert in Austin & Jay rocked the whole set, I like how he had a break with Jeezy in Dallas too...that was different. TI was going to be that guy with Jay as well, but he fucked that up with the charges.

You mean franchise rappers right? Because Def Jam still got the artists they really give that push to like Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Kanye. As far as Rawse goes I don't think he really gets that much of a push. Its really not worth to push him because like you said he's not crossing over with fans. He has the hip hop audience. The rap fans. He got the streets. He needs to get that white kid in suburbia who worships rap music. That's what sets Jeezy from Rawse. Jeezy has that type of fan.

Def Jam gotta get some new talent in there. They let all these labels snag up niggas like Cudi, Drake and Wale. Def Jam should've been in on both of niggas. I'm shocked LA didn't make a move for Drake. I don't think he has faith in the hip hop department at Def Jam.

Shake was his go-to guy...its easy to see what many were saying long ago that he's tryna turn DJ into a R&B label, the new LaFace:lol:

ross wordplay is prob the best out right now... The shit he's saying at the rate he's getting out there got him in the number one spot right now

Naw its no hate towards Plies or Flo Rida I listen to some of their shit and I can appreciate all the top 10 hits Flo Rida got but if I was from Florida and wanted someone to rep my rap scene? Rawse is doing it. Rawse is to Florida as BIG was to Brooklyn/NY.

Biggest mistake Rawse made or maybe not the biggest since I don't think anyone really cares but his mistake was lying about being a CO. I notice that when he has a camera in front of him he gets into character as "Bawse". Like his this big time drug kingpin. From the get go I peeped this character but some really bought into it. There's a 99% chance your favorite rapper has lied about his past.

Man that shit is just comedy to me, sort of like Gucci

you've gotta be kidding me. what do you consider a mainstream rapper then? give me some examples. a rapper becomes mainstream as soon as they strike gold with a hit. it's not how they market you, it's whether or not you can drop a smash single, rawse just hasn't had one YET

it's coming though... 2010 should be his year

Being mainstream isn't about record sales IMO. Mainstream rapper to me is a guy who gets play on Pop radio. There's nothing wrong with not being a mainstream rapper. I just don't think Def Jam markets him to be such. He's a hood rapper. Raps about hood shit. Shit doesn't translate to the mainstream. He doesn't have catchy ass hooks. He doesn't have dance songs. Jill Scott goes gold with every album but that doesn't mean she's a mainstream singer.

Same here. I crack up laughing when I see Rawse in character. I Always thought that was the intent. To laugh at the nigga. I never once bought into that shit. But its entertaining.
