This is great. Plus you don't have to worry about him leaving this summer. He is under contract and is a 20 pt and 8 board a game cat for at least the next 2 years.

Amare could have bounced this summer. Plus we will probably get Z back and keep hickson(who showed he is willing to body with the bigs).

Finally, after all my years as a Cleveland sports fan shit seems good.

:hmm: Too damn good. Watch Lebron roll an ankle in the 3rd week of march or some shit. it is always fuckery here in Cleveland. The shot, the drive, Mesa, etc, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to be honest.. it's not really that much of a guarantee that tha Lakers will even make it to tha Finals.. Denver is healthy and ballin right now and now wit George Karl's illness, they're gonna bring it.. now, I'm not sayin they're definitely gonna beat tha Lakers in a series but it's more evenly matched than you think.. and tha Nuggets are in tha trade market too on tha d/l.. if they land Tyrus Thomas from tha Bulls.. shit gets very interesting

So it's a guarantee the Cavs will make it?

what is it, like 11 or 12 hours left? we'll see what Boston does.. they're tha only team that comes close.. tha Magic fucked up.. it would've been tough right now even if they kept Hedo with this trade.. unless Vince Carter turns tha clock back to 2001.. I think tha Magic can't hang

Man. I hope the Lakers are healthy come playoff time and the Cavs dont have any injuries and they both make it to the finals... because this would be a very evenly matched Finals where we would really see which team wanted it more or which superstar could rise to the occasion...

Who can stop them? Orlando? Muthafuckas had match up kryptonite in hedu and got rid of it for sea salt. Beat up Boston, they aren't fucking with the Cavs and the Hawks are 51% owners of boston and the Cavs own the Hawks.

The playoffs will be crazy. A lot teams that think they can win it all this year.

Man, shaq is going to sit his 400lb ass in the paint and own it. Gasol won't even think about entering the paint after the 2nd quarter of game 2.

no guarantee's but, danny ferry gave lebron everything he asked for so its all up to lebron now,,, put up or shut the hell up.

Over the years, he has had to carry that team. NOW, the cavs are stacked. The argument about lack of talent (while true in the past) is completely dead now. This team has all the tools to win a title and the teams that gave them problems last year no longer provide matchup problems.

The Cavs are a scary team now..they were already looking very good without Jamison... I think it just comes down to how well they play in the ECF and Finals because previous to this trade, I was still saying that a healthy Laker team was still the best team in the league. However, I think the Cavs with Jamison, if it works the way we think it will, will be difficult to beat...and their remaining schedule is nice so they will most likely have home court all throughout the playoffs. I know they had it last year, but obviously this is a completely different team.

Injury has Mavs shopping for center

DALLAS -- With center Erick Dampier out for an extended period, a source said the Dallas Mavericks plan to pursue Zydrunas Ilgauskas if he receives a buyout from the Washington Wizards.

Dampier underwent successful surgery Wednesday morning to repair an open dislocation of his right middle finger suffered late in Tuesday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

More on the Mavs

News, notes and analysis of the Mavericks from ESPNDallas.com's Jeff Caplan, Tim MacMahon and the rest of our team. Blog.

"He'll be out for a while," coach Rick Carlisle said. "I'm just not sure exactly how long."

Dampier could miss up to a month. That leaves Brendan Haywood, who arrived over the weekend in a seven-player trade with the Wizards, as the only true center on the Mavericks' roster.

Sources told ESPN.com that the 7-foot-3, 260-pound Ilgauskas was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to Washington in a three-team deal Wednesday that sent Antawn Jamison to Cleveland. With Washington cutting costs, it's likely that Ilguaskas will be bought out of his $11.5 million expiring contract.

The Mavericks can only offer Ilgauskas a prorated portion of the veteran's minimum salary of about $1.3 million. Ilgauskas has spent his entire 12-year career with the Cavaliers, but he would have to wait 30 days to return to Cleveland.

The Mavericks would also be interested in re-signing Drew Gooden, whom they traded to Washington, if he negotiates a buyout. However, the odds of that happening decreased significantly when it looks like the Los Angeles Clippers acquired Gooden in Wednesday's three-team deal.

What is so scary about the Cavs is Lebron is a legit all star at 4 positions. As much as people want to compare him to Wade and Kobe they can't pull that shit off.

So when you put talent around lebron you just open up so many possibilities. Shit is like Magic on steroids and that is scary. You can play big and run him at point or play small and run him at 4. Who else can you do that with??????????????????

That shit is a coaches wet dream. God help the league when he actually has to settle down and develop a post game ala Jordan.

Biggest robbery since the Louisiana Purchase :smh:

At least the Lakers gave up a warm body for Gasol.

Shit, this is only behind getting Manhattan for $25 and the Walker trade Dallas made around 89 or so.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

but seriously.. Gasol is way younger and has a long career ahead of him.. I still think the Gasol trade was number 1 .. his brother who was just thrown until the deal, suprisingly has turned into a nice player..
