I always wondered why people that don't believe in God spend as much time as people that do spreading their beliefs. In the Bible, God wants his believers to spread his word to others, so it makes sense why Christians and all other religions are constantly spreading their belief. I can tell you in my personal experience, most of my family and friends are Christians- throw in a few muslims. Because of fairly equal political power, they don't fuck with each other, at least not in each others face, but if they asked me what I believed, whenever I said "nothing", they would assume I was "lost", and feel it was their duty to "save" me. I ended up learning more about what I didn't like in religion of all kinds, as a defense, and simply to explain myself. As soon as I started winning the arguments, then I was the one "talking about religion all the time". When I back em down with logic they just say "I'll pray for you". RIIIIGHT.


And that's pretty much what some of you here on this board are doing.

For many reasons, but one is becuz it has so much influence over so many people in the world, which means that laws and culture is inevieatably influenced by it.
