its been said that the creators of south park and their staff get made an episode in like 4-hours.... the deadline CC gave them was at 12:00 pm ON DAY OF THE EPISODE AIRING and they have it done by 12.... cheap ass paper animation :smh:

They used to show an episode or two everyday at 5 or 6 on FOX, now they only show it on the Animation block on Sunday. Otherwise, I don't see it on any other station.

twice in the day on one channel. and twice at night on another channel in my city.

I give the show mad props ... I haven't followed it in years, but ain't nothin' fuckin' with it in terms of longevity in the world of animated series.

It's been going strong since 1989-1990 ... I was in fuckin' 5th grade then and it was all the rage in my school and neighborhood. And it's still doin' its thing and I'm damn near 31 years old now ...

Ya'll are really ignorant to how animation is made. The Simpson's is traditional "cell drawn" animation meaning they to physically draw each cell (frame). Southpark is done on computer where all the individual animations are saved and simply "reused". Its basically like flash animation once you save a picture it's in there. Two different animation techniques.

Southpark is a lot like Scooby Doo was done where they reuse the same animation frames over and over again and concentrate heavily on the voice work. Back in the day MGM and Disney both shit hard on Hannah Barbara for using this technique (it wasn't considered "true animation") but it allowed them to finish a cartoon in a few days rather than months - That's why the 60's, 70's and 80's were dominated by Hannah Barbara cartoons cheap and crappy animated cartoons.

They don't work on ONE episode at a time, they do like 12-13 episodes at the same time. Their are multiple animation teams doing the layouts, most of the intermediate animation is finished in Asia.
