Dude is like the anti-Divine.. I wish Divine was here to watch them go back and forth. How many times does he have to mentioned that this is a large Ipod touch in the same thread :smh::lol:

b/c its hilarious lolol....besides they said it on the site i'm on lol
all the hype and its just blah lol

I dont play video games, but the gaming experience on this is going to slick...based on the EA presentation

You think so? I can only expect the same games they have now in the app store, which are not bad, but if I'm at home, why would I play this instead of PC gaming, Xbox, PS3, PSP, or even the Wii? Graphic wise, I really would have to see this thing manage game titles, like on a PSP, but be above that level. But I can see just sitting around the house being lazy, playing on it. Even with the HP Slate, I'm still trying to figure out where these new form factors can really take a place in a household. On a long flight, I can see this, but on a subway, no, too big to haul around.

Suppose to have a cam in front and back for video conference, not sure though. No specs on the either cams yet.

i personally think this is a joke. this is a classic example of satire. it has to be. it doesnt even have a webcam. jobs should be writing for snl, his level of wit knows no boundaries

they lost when they couldnt play flash. smh at having a computer that doesnt play flash.

With the advent of HTML 5 and the Javascript Libraries Flash will become a dinosaur soon. Flash is no longer required to watch youtube and other video sites will flow the lead.

Those of you who don't develop (which is 99% of you on this board) are not aware of the hassles with Flash and you clowns are basically a day late and a dollar short because talks of HTML5 have been around for at least the past year.

nah i'm a geek but i support google...i'm just cracking on this but seriously...jobs said this is the most important thing he has ever done....lolol

The brand-new Apple iPad, contrary to prior rumors, is a Wi-Fi-only device—no 3G from either AT&T or Verizon. Full hardware spec list, constantly updated, after the jump.

The iPad is packing a 9.7-inch IPS display, which is a type of TFT LCD that according to Stevesy has a "great angle of view." It's a full capacitive multitouch screen, like the iPhone, and also like its little (yet older) brother, it's got 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+, an accelerometer, compass, speaker, and mic, as well as the standard 30-pin connector. It's rated at 10 hours of battery life, which is absolutely nuts (and much better than we expected) for a device with a near-10-inch LCD, although who knows what the battery life actually is.

Most importantly, the processor: It's a 1GHz "Apple A4" processor, the first we've seen, probably the result of Apple's purchase of P.A. Semiconductor awhile back. It promises to decode HD video while retaining that 10-hour battery life, which is mighty impressive—Tegra, Snapdragon and the rest can't claim that kind of low power usage.

Oh, and it's as green as all other Apple hardware: No arsenic, BFR, mercury, or PVC, and it's "highly recyclable."

Yep...it is nothing here that has made me go  yet. However, I always thought the most significant thing would be the content marketplace that they have in place to distribute content to end users... not the actual device.

its the same ipod/iphone marketplace....

This was discussed for a while. They are obviously not going to rebuild an entirely new platform when they can build off of Itunes. However, Im talking about the content providers in place. The key to any device like this is going to be the actual content.

Very true

That's nice and all but what about right now? I can't buy it then log unto my hulu account. I can't view worldstarr videos out the box. The fuck is the point in this product?

I dont give a shit about the Apple Tablet in that regards. That is just a comment about HTML 5 in general. I was replying to programmer....

It's not even a netbook. I am guessing you have to sync this beast to a real computer since it's using the iPhone os. How dumb is that.
