This is good.
They always start out that way......
I was going to say that same thing but decided to stay shut...because I did not read it...but they pull out all the stops on issue one and dumb down quick during that last 2 issues.
i think the whole storyline has been pretty good i like bendis allot...new avengers has been a really witty and enjoyable read since it started, thor too...but i just have one question, when the hell did the asgardians (lol ass-guardians) go back to Oklahoma?? cuz as far as i know they were still in doom country! maybe in the next issue of thor? the thing that bothers me more than anything in comics is continuity glitches.
all i know is im gonna be pissed off if the sentry (who im sure has to die at the end of all this) just fixes/retcons everything at the end with his new (i can do what-ever-the-fuck-i-want powers)

I would have to agree.
I can never follow one of these Events all the way through because i have to stop and go find an issue that explains(if i'm lucky) what just happened in the issue I just read.
I like what they are doing with the Sentry but then again i don't like it.
They are doing a good job of making him the most imposing figure in the Marvel Universe. All they have to do is show him standing there and i'm like "Oh shit, it's going down"
I could be wrong but I don't remember him ever being beaten in battle.
On the other hand,
There is no way he should be able to take on all the Asgardian Gods.
I think they would eventually beat him.
One on one Thor would crush him.
Aries should be able to take him down.
But that's with me or anybody not knowing the extent of Sentry's powers. If he can put fear into the Molecule Man I guess he really can do anything.
Last issue of World War Hulk, not only did hulk beat the Sentry out of Bob....Banner beat the snot out of Bob to knock him the fuck out!

Production probably did not see those elements translating well into anime sales.
Much like how the Berserk anime cut out huge junks out of the Berserk manga to make it anime-worthy.

Knowing Marvel, the retcon won't be so clean cut.
I think this will be a setup for Scarlet Witch to return and be on the side of the angels again.
With those that alter reality there are those in the U that they can not affect.
Case in point, Mojo, Longshot, Spiral, Scarlet Witch...to name a few.
That's if they stick to canon and such but since I left Marvel over the fact that they don't + shitty overall editing...you never know.

If you want to read comics about super heroes that has continuity down for readers like you and me...you have to check out.

Malibu's Ultraverse (1990 to 1994 before Marvel stuck their dick inside of it)
In fact, I am collecting all of my Ultraverse books to post up on the forums...will take some time though. Shit, they had a book devoted to a villian...and that dude stayed fucking heroes up...for real...none of that soft Dr. Doom then mean Dr. Doom shit...Fucking Dr. Doom crying at 911...Shit RUNE...come on...
Really loved those books...Valiant was great because character had serious fucking problems...Villains where no joke in the universe and despite the powers of the heroes...they did not always win.
