Like the title implies. Obviously the casual reader or the returning reader has missed out or is missing out on great comics not in the Marvel and/or DC Universe.

Put your suggestions here and if its a big enough series start it's own thread.

looking forward to some good reading.

What's it about? The thing with the new releases thread is i see people getting excited about some comics but i have no idea of knowing what they are about..

Just wiki - We don't want to spoil it for anyone.

Don't wait or ask for someone to explain it to you...It will taint your prospective of the book. Read the notes on the cover (or online) by the author and just dive in. If you give someone a box to categorize some of these books it will cheapen your experience.

Try these...

This book is terrible and gross. Goes for shock instead of story.

Eating a girl out while shes on her period...:puke:

thanks for the list, i'll get started this weekend looking for the torrents..

I'm on issue 40something on of The Walking Dead and I have little to no interest in going back to marvel, gave up on DC and now i'm thinking its time to thin out my marvel reading material and concentrate on more indie comics..

Sounds good.

Just remember that Marvel and DC have other imprints that are worth looking at and not all of their books center on their "flagship" universes.

Marvel has ICON.
DC has Zuda, Vertigo and another that I always seem to forget.
