In 2006, the American Family Association launched a campaign against Best Buy after its idolotrous decision not to use Christmas in it's advertising. Dawn Bryant, a hell-bound Best Buy spokeswoman, stated: "We are going to continue to use the term holiday because there are several holidays throughout that time period, and we certainly need to be respectful of all of them." Fighting evil, the Catholic League placed Best Buy on its 2006 Christmas Watch List. This year, a repentant Best Buy will be using the proper title of "Christmas" in their advertising.
Also last year, after mounting criticism from religious groups that staged boycotts against Wal-Mart and other merchants after they eliminated or de-emphasized "Christmas" in their advertising, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s Corp. and Macy’s all stepped up their acknowledgment of the reason for the season. Wal-Mart vowed to launch its first Christmas-specific TV ad in several years, feature Christmas shops, previously and deviously called Holiday Shops, and increase the number of seasonal merchandise labeled "Christmas" instead of "holiday" by 60 percent.
“We learned a lesson from that. Merry Christmas is now part of the vocabulary here at Wal-Mart,” said Linda Blakley, a Wal-Mart spokeswoman.
Still, the battle wages on.
At the Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, Christmas hardly exists. For these three companies, all owned by the Gap, the only items listed as having anything to do with Christmas were a pair of boxer shorts and a child's sleepwear set.
A search of Banana Republic's website found no reference to "Christmas." Everything is "holiday." While Christmas scored a grand total of zero results, holiday scored 41.
BGOL must boycott Banana Republic and other insidious arms of the GAP. Further action to be taken in this war shall be detailed shortly.
American Family Association said:A year later, Gap continues to censor Christmas
Contact Gap, letting the company know that there are those who still recognize Christmas even if it doesn't.
At Gap, the score is "holiday" 172 and "Christmas" 3
At Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, Christmas hardly exists. For these three companies, all owned by Gap, the only items listed as having anything to do with Christmas were a pair of boxer shorts and a child's sleepwear set.
Last year, when Gap also censored Christmas, we contacted the company. The company refused to change their policy of censoring Christmas. This year the company has continued their practice of censoring Christmas from their stores and promotions. The only conclusion one can reach is that Gap will continue to censor Christmas, a Christian holy day.
Last year an Old Navy store manager was asked if the word "Christmas" was used in his store, he answered: "We have a lot of Christmas gifts in our stores, but the word 'Christmas' is not used here. Everything is 'holiday.'"
A search of Old Navy shows no reference to "Christmas." But the company does list a "Holiday Gift Guide." A search for Christmas on the Old Navy Web site resulted in the two items – boxer shorts and a child's sleepwear set. There were 25 results in a search for "holiday."
A search of Banana Republic found no reference to "Christmas." Everything is "holiday." While Christmas scored a 0, holiday scored 41.
At Gap there was a single reference to Christmas--the boxers. Gap offered 56 holiday items. However, Gap did offer video greetings called "Happy Chrismukkah" and "Merry Christmas Gaptidings."
The final tally for all three stores combined was holiday 172 and Christmas 3.
Take Action!
Send your e-mail to Gap letting the company know that there are those who still recognize Christmas even if it doesn't.
After you have sent your e-mail, be sure to follow up with a phone call. Be polite. Ask Gap if they will reconsider their policy of censoring Christmas. The toll-free number is 1-800-427-7895. The company number is 650-952-4400.
Forward this to friends and family and urge them to send the e-mail to Gap.
The war continues...
U.S. House Passes Resolution Supporting Christmas and Christianity
Some Representatives Who Said "Bah, Humbug" to Christmas Favored Ramadan Resolution
WASHINGTON, Dec. 12-- Standard Newswire-- Yesterday, the U.S. House passed a resolution recognizing the importance of Christmas and the Christian faith by a vote of 372 to 9. Nine members voted against the resolution, ten refused to support it by voting "present," and 40 others members did not vote.
All but two of the representatives voting "present" or against the Christmas Resolution voted in favor of a resolution recognizing Ramadan, which passed by a 376-0 vote in October. The Ramadan Resolution stated that the House "recognizes the Islamic faith as one of the great religions of the world…expresses friendship and support for Muslims…acknowledges the onset of Ramadan…and conveys its respect to Muslims…rejects hatred, bigotry, and violence directed against Muslims…commends Muslims…who have privately and publicly rejected interpretations and movements of Islam that justify and encourage hatred, violence, and terror".
The Christmas Resolution uses similar language, stating that the House recognizes "the Christian faith as one of the great religions of the world…expresses continued support for Christians…acknowledges the international religious and historical importance of Christmas and the Christian faith…acknowledges and supports the role played by Christians and Christianity in the founding of the United States and in the formation of the western civilization…rejects bigotry and persecution directed against Christians…and expresses its deepest respect to American Christians and Christians throughout the world".
The nine members who voted against the Christmas Resolution were all Democrats: Ackerman (NY), Clarke (NY), DeGette (CO), Hastings (FL), Lee (CA), McDermott (WA), Scott (VA), Stark (CA) and Woolsey (CA). The 10 who answered "present" without entering a vote were also Democrats except one: Conyers (MI), Frank (MA), Holt (NJ), Payne (NJ), Pence (Republican from IN), Schakowsky (PA), Schwartz (PA), Wasserman-Schultz (FL), Welch (VT) and Yarmuth (KY).
Mathew D. Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, commented: "I am pleased to see that the vast majority of the United States House of Representatives supports Christmas and recognizes the fundamental role of Christianity in America. Our Founders believed that Christianity was the best foundation for a republican form of government and freedom. It is disturbing that a small number of representatives support Ramadan and Islam but not Christmas and Christianity."
Nice.
Plain and simple.
You have to be a miserable MF to want to stop people from having a Merry Christmas!!
Even Kids?
That's just sorrowful.
Nobody have a Merry Christmas.
Sick
He is always with us...
This was based on a real campaign...

I found it funny how they ominously say "At Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, Christmas hardly exists." As if the main places to measure the salience of Christmas should be the Gap, Old Navy and Banana fucking Republic.
I don't really watch cable much but I saw online that Bill O'Reilly is still promoting this "Was on Christmas" bullshit. It has to be less of a focus-- I can't imagine this shit would still bring in the same ratings year after year-- but still, its going on five years of this bullshit... It's like Christmas is a time some people look forward to so they can feel dismissed and marginalized....
funny thing is people hated on the character but now they'd probably take 10 yahwehs over these trial members![]()
some whites wanna see what it feels like to be a minority without havin to actually be one
What stinks about the trial members is they never have a chance to develop any sort of personality so its hard to consider them as anything but a big bunch of gnats.
It doesn't even seem like Christmas around here without Yahweh... There's no Baby Jesus next to the nut guzzling hoes up in the banner and it's like nobody even notices...
It's the whole idea of the silent majority that developed way back in the early 70s-- "we're an actual majority but we feel like a minority because we have not properly used our voice so now we must assert our power."
They don't want to feel like a minority; they are well-aware that they are the majority and resent being made to feel like a minority (or, in other words, not using majority power to force the minority to conform to the will of the majority)... "I ain't no goddamn minority. Speak English, Jose! Praise Jesus, Mohammed! Get your asses into line!"
Thou art now boo'd. Blasphemous scoundrel!![]()
Costanza, you are seriously TROUBLED to ridicule an alter
ego YOU created for sheer attention-whoring purposes. You need to log off and go outside, "Yahweh."
I looked up your IP address when I was a mod. You ain't foolin' no one...
Not to bash Christianity, but if GOD is infallible and omniscient, and declares,"You shall have no other gods before me".
Then how is the one called Jesus also called god? Are we to assume GOD made a mistake and forgot to add Jesus to the accepted list?
Doesn't GOD warn Man about altering his words? And what is up with the graven images issue? I see graven images of things in the heavens and below the Earth on a constant basis, but creating these images is also forbidden. Christians don't follow their own rules.
Just for the record, I have a problem with all religions younger than 2,500 years old.
I'm new here. Is he serious?
We still doing this? Christmas was banned in America until late 1800s because it's a pagan holiday
