What is up with lady GaGa...why is she famous??

She's unique and creative. Being a gay icon doesn't hurt either.

Being that alone makes her set 4 life.

Yeah ... the thing I can appreciate about her is that she's put in her time building up her name/rep years back in the NY underground scene, and is reaping the fruits of her labor now (being affiliated with Interscope and all). Making that big money, etc. Taking alot of risks. Plus she's a PERFORMANCE ARTIST ... the show was fucking dope on Thursday ... and she isn't some lip-synching Ashlee Simpson or Britney Spears ... she's actually singing and doing some dancing ... and is out of breath later on when she's talking on the damn mic ... plus she's actually involved with the songwriting unlike alot of people ... she doesn't have 20 songwriters penning all the shit for her ... see the tracklisting + credits further in the reply ... her name's stamped all over the stuff ... I like the production work from RedOne too ... good shit ...

:lol: I just referred to it as "Dude Gaga" today. And "Satan Manning," I hate to give these free time having twerps props but there have been some funny names.

It isn't unique or creative... I heard the perfect phrase to describe it today-- "predictably unpredictable."

I took my ole lady out to see Lady Gaga in Las Vegas in December.
Im not usually into pop music, but surprisingly, it was a good performance.
 
bottom line: music is a fashion accessory now, period. anybody the music industry markets and props up as "hot", the average person is gonna embrace no matter what.

Gaga is actually very talented. She has an ear and appreciation for music that isn't reflected in many of her 'pop' songs. She is actually a TRAINED musician that can play intstruments and sing.

Thats why every award show aint shit....its a popularity contest its not about music sure their will someone who can actually sing and win an award but thats rare now.I havent watch any music award since 94......

But, I recognize she doesn't have any real admirable talent..

Now, Gaga, she has been grinding for years...she does have good singing ability and can play instruments (well, at least the piano)...gotta appreciate a trained musician, cause there aren't too many of them in music these days...

:yes::yes::yes: Catchy records that have, in this market, "deep" meaning. I say that meaning compared to the crappy pop-stars, generic R&B chicks, she says something different and offers a show, which is necessary in SHOW Business.
 
She's famous because little white kids don't remember Peaches and Roisin Murphy, who provided her with her sound and look respectively... w/ a little Madonna and David Bowie thrown in for shits and giggles.

Goodness you people are stupid. First off she is not a tranny. That was a part of a costume. She is famous because she jumped into a gay community that runs holllywood and she makes music that the majority of people like. She did the same shit Madonna did.
