Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

Dude I obviously mean when Chuck was fighting at a great level. He is not even fighting now.
Well shit you cant cherry pick Chuck at a great level and put him against a over the hill Tito. That aint fair or realistic. Which is why i missed your point.

Who won?

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

Tito had this fight!! Tito didnt throw his first punch in the final round until the 3:32 point!!!! Imagine going 3 and half minutes without throwing a single punch or kick, just two slow ass take down attempts!!

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

My usual ultra smooth, crystal clear, stream connection was choppy as fuck tonight :( Anyone else have difficulties watching this event online? All of the others I've seen via this connection (including last week's event) were crystal clear and in great quality (as usual).

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

I had Tito 2 rounds to 1. Tito won the first 2 rounds and Forrest won the the 3rd round
Man if you aint know Forrest was the UFC golden boy then you know now.

Like Biggie say: "If ya dont knowww now ya knowwwwwwwwww nigga."

Yeah I knew he was getting ready for a takedown, but damn throw some punches or kicks. I he had threw a couple of punches early in the 3rd round he would've won.

I don't think Tito is over the hill just yet. I think it's a lot of cage rust plus fighting a real fight after surgery. I just meant that if he was taking that many shots from somebody with any power he would be out.

Forrest is just an average fighter and the white people just love him cause he beat Rampage.

Saddest point of the night for me...................................Anthony Johnson's loss

He needs to work on his BJJ NOW!!!!

He was like a fish out of water when he was on the bottom.

Yeah Forrest doesn't have any power in his punches, anyone else and Tito would have been out. Tito is one dimensional get a takedown and ground-and-pound his opponent. If you stop his takedown you can beat him easily because his standup sucks.

Me too, but a judge had it 30-27 FORREST?!!?!?! After Tito took him down and pounded him in round 2?

every wrestler is a fish out of water when they are on the bottom, Koscheck would be the same way too.

Tito isnt a striker. Never has been. What Tito does best is take you down and Ground and pound. Tito is arguably one of the best in UFC history at Ground and Pound. Tito really couldn't do that against Forest in the later rounds. Forest Stuffed his attempts. Even if Tito threw his hands or kicks, he isnt a match for Forest in that area.

I was rooting for Tito cause I cant stand Forest. But the better fighter won tonight. I had Tito winning a close first round. I had Forest and Tito tied in Round 2. I had Forest winning round 3 big.

Decision goes to Forest and his running ass.

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

Tito gave Forrest round 3 for Dana. Tito is big enough to wear the loss - Forrest isn't

anyone who paid for that shit is an idiot

best fights were grove's and koscheck's
saunders' KO was decent

karo would have made this card even weaker

did minatoro win?

Yeah Minatoro knocked his opponent out. This PPV was garbage, I agree that Kendall grove, Ben Saunders and Minatoro fights were the best on this card.

That's what I was thinking too. Tito threw NOTHING, attempted ONE takedown. he gave that shit away. :smh:

Rogerio KO'd Cane in 2 mins.

The truth is, more of them are garbage (at the very least big disappointments) than are not. MMA PPV is becoming more of a bad bet as time goes on. Every UFC 10* should not be a PPV event. I think this will do more harm than good for the brand in the long run. The product doesnt consistently justify the cost.

i need to peep rogerio's fight - he was on the brazilian boxing team so his striking should be worth a look
you didnt like kos' fight? johnson wasnt ready for that fight - didnt really dig dana throwing him to the wolves like that

yeah i was like wtf? is it cardio? is he hurt? :hmm: fuckin bullshit
forrest has no fuckin power in his hands either - tito does have a helluva jaw though but he could have ground and pounded forrest 3 rounds

you know tito v randy is coming right? :hmm: and tito v chuck :hmm: :hmm:

i still like tito though and forrest - i wanted tito to win but i didnt want forrest to take a 2nd L in a row cuz that would put him on thin ice

question - why the fuck is baloney baroni still allowed in a damn cage? all he does is get pummeled by anyone worth shit

nah man they just had their main event squashed and some other fights had pull outs too. they should really adjust prices for weak cards like this though
that shit was worth $5 but not $45-50

I don't think no one wants to see a Tito v chuck again or Tito v Randy. Randy's fights are boring and Chuck gets knocked out too much now. Baroni needs to retire, cause he got his ass whipped tonight. Baroni was good for the first minute of round 1 and after that it was over for him. Just like the announcers said if Amir survives that first wave of attacks he will beat Baroni.

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

it just looked like Tito just gave up
if he didnt throw the fight his conditioning was trash - he shoulda had a warmup fight

i liked how him and forrest turned the crowd around though  I didnt like the ending and the card is weak but im not gonna boo a guy getting his face kicked for my entertainment

man white people will pay to see that bullshit with randy and tito - shit is guaranteed cash for dana - chuck too

baloni's cardio has been garbage for awhile - i fuckin hate his bitch ass :smh: that dude went from subbing and koing kats to being an italian ice made with blood syrup

Yea but that dude is likely (or possibly) gone forever. Other than he and Anderson who else is worth $60? Like i said, more often than not the fights dont justify the PPV cost. I dont think UFC can maintain its current PPV numbers at this rate. And i sure as fuck dont see them growing at all.

I agreee somewhat. You can't predict fights, so you don't know, but the UFC has too many PPVs. Dana thinks that the name UFC sells, but it's the stars. The stars are too spread out.

thats it bruh too many bullshit cards - a ppv a month - they cant keep up with that shit

certain matchups are worth it but i dont see me buying any ppv in the future cept boxing

yeah the crowd got quiet and start cheering for both fighers once Forrest agreed with what Tito said

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

For those quick to throw in the "because this card wasn't much, boxing PPVs are better" argument, how many boxing fights would you really want to see at this point. I can only think of two, offhand. Whereas, there are still quite a few MMA matchups I'd be interested in seeing (even paying for under very specific environment circumstances).

Re: ********** OFFICIAL UFC 106 thread - Saturday, November 21st, 2009 - Griffin-Orti

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone.

I didn't have a chance to see the fights tonight. Gonna download them soon. I was at work / groceries / gym / errands ... looking forward to this. Just watched the UFC 106 COUNTDOWN show earlier today before supper. Holla @ ya boy.
