!!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTERS

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

Actually, its The One-Above-All, not to be confused with the One Above All - they are two separate entities. The One Above All is the leader of the Celestials. The One-Above-All is basically God over the Marvel Universe. Thanos with the Heart Of The Universe could not destroy The Living Tribunal. The Living Tribunal was created by The One-Above-All to watch over all of the Universes and realities. It was not destroyed when Thanos had the Heart Of The Universe, it was simply not able to stop him. Even with the HoftU, Thanos couldn't destroy the Tribunal. He just basically put it out of a job. With all multiverses and realities destroyed, what would it have to watch over?
The One-Above-All appeared in Sensational Spider-man #40 as a homeless man when Peter's Aunt May was dying. Peter realized who he was in the issue and asked him a couple of questions about "everything" and he gives him a variation of the responsibility talk. He also appears AS STAN LEE when the Thing died. The FF (-Thing) went up to (basically Heaven) to ask him to bring back Ben and he appeared to them as Stan Lee. The entity is not Stan Lee himself. That moment was supposed to me metaphorical - for both the readers and the comic characters themselves. The Phoenix is an entity like the Celestials. The entity itself is immortal but it has a weakness - it needs a host. If they had battled completely ruthlessly, Galactus could have possibly won against the Phoenix by simply following it around and destroying every potential host it could come across. It would be an endless game of chase and destroy with neither one of them winning. Without the Heart Of The Universe or the Infinity Gems, Celestial Entities could just battle endlessly. Since they are immortal, they cannot be destroyed. The only reason Thanos was destroyed was out of self-sacrifice to repair the flaw in The Multiverse/Realities that he discovered. His story was the only one of the Marvel: The End series stories that actually happened in the Marvel Universe. The rest were just possibilities. People keep comparing Phoenix with mutants and humanoids but in truth, Phoenix is a celestial immortal being that uses a host. (Jean, her clone, etc.) Phoenix is more along the lines of Galactus, Infinity, Eternity, Oblivion, Death and Abraxas. Its almost pointless to mix Phoenix with creatures of the Universe when the entity itself can't be destroyed but the others can.

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

Surfer isn't fucking with Phoenix guy. Phoenix is a Galactus level cosmic being, and would curb stomp any of Glactus' heralds.

WELL, I WAS JUST ABOUT TO DISAGREE WITH YOU I FOUND THIS LITTLE EXCERPT ON WIKIPEDIA.

During an encounter with Galactus the Devourer of Worlds, Rachel Summers— at the time completely overtaken by the Phoenix Force— battled Galactus in an effort to save a planet he was preparing to devour.[3] The Phoenix Force disrupted Galactus' feeding process and thus was able to eventually defeat the depleted world devourer in battle. Galactus accused the Phoenix Force of hypocrisy and revealed to it that every time it exercised its powers on such vast scales, it robbed energy used to birth future generations. Realizing this to be true, the Phoenix vowed never again to use its powers to such an extent.

The extent of the Phoenix Force's abilities has not been fully clarified. In a certain retconned issue, the Phoenix can be seen holding the Universe-616 in the palm of her hands - modifying them at will. Jean Grey as The White Phoenix of the Crown was able to change the future of a universe by reaching back in time and pushing her husband Cyclops to move on with his life.

The Phoenix will become Dark Phoenix if it allows human emotions to cloud its judgment. In this state, Phoenix is the strongest, but also is an evil entity. It thirsts for power and destruction. Totally uncontrollable, it is a force to be reckoned with as it is not bound by a human conscience. When Dark Phoenix flew back into space, her true firebird form was seen across the entire universe and even demanded the attention of Eternity.

WIKIPEDIA SEARCH

SO REALLY THE PHOENIX IS ACTUALLY BEYOND god MODE.

She is probably more similar to Eternity and Death in the Marvel Universe.

Good discussion anyway.

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

The most powerful is the Living tribunal.

TLT2.png

The Living Tribunal's power is apparently limitless, as the entity is capable of nullifying the combined power of the Infinity Gems. [4] The entity has only been surpassed once - when Thanos of Titan becomes one with the entire universe through the use of an artifact called the Heart of the Universe and even the Living Tribunal was apparently powerless to stop him.

galactus.jpg

Next in line or possibly equal is Galactus. Galactus is more than likely the Oldest being/entity in the whole of Marvel Universe. Remember Galactus was from the previous universe and saw the end of that universe and emerged in the universe of the current big bang.

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

all right guy here it is, me and my boy(who is a comic book vet) were burning out today(as usual) and we had a serious discussion about which comic character ,in the MARVEL or DC universe, has the ultimate supremacy....meaning which character can not lose........

We shot the shit back and forth for a while and it basically came down to Marvel characters....Hulk was tossed around, Sentry came up, and of course Phoenix.......

In the end Phoenix was ruled top dog-------we concluded she is basically a god---nothing can stop her, but herself(ie. the person who phoenix possessed)

Phoenix can turn you into molecules, atoms or a hippo, or a cat or puppy......she can do anything her mind wants...WE FELT THAT SHE REIGNS SUPREME

now I'm not trying to have an internet war here, but that was our conclusion....if someone knows of a better character in any universe please let me know(and if you have a link to the character please post it)

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

PHOENIX POWERS

Powers and abilities

The Phoenix Force has the ability to manipulate cosmic energies and to tap into the life-force reserved for future generations, thus denying them existence. It can wield this energy to project beams of immense destructive force. It can transmigrate throughout time and space by folding its energy back into itself, causing it to collapse akin to a black hole and then reform itself upon reaching its destination. It can directly absorb energy such as Cyclops' optic blasts or even the entire energy of a sun. It is also capable of absorbing the energy and life-force from a foe. As it is the nexus of all psionic energy, it has mental abilities of cosmic scope, including telepathy and telekinesis. Often the Phoenix seeks out hosts who have strong inherent psionic abilities so they can withstand its power, such as that of Emma Frost who could not bear the burden of Phoenix' hunger for human emotion when it bonded with her. [4] When the Phoenix Force enters a host, a small fragment of it's power is left behind when it leaves. Even a small fragment can be stronger than an inexperienced host using the Phoenix Force's powers, as seen by Rachel Summers, who had full access to the Force, but her opponent threw moons at her with only a fragment (the Phoenix Force decided to not interfere with mortal beings and only allowed Rachel to tap into the Force's powers at that time). When bonded with a host, the Phoenix Force amplifies their abilities to incalculable levels. It can manipulate matter on a sub-atomic level and transmute elements (e.g., turning wood to gold, stone to crystal, etc). It can teleport others across space and can also open intradimensional portals to instantneously access distant locales of the Universe. If the Phoenix Force is harmed or killed, it will form an "egg" of cosmic power, incubate in the White Hot Room, and hatch out completely healed. Also being one of the oldest cosmic beings the Phoenix Force possesses a degree of cosmic awareness.

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

If you are going to say the most powerful of all comic characters, then it will be "The Living Tribunal & One-Above-All" are by far the most powerful in comic world.
The Living Tribunal was a vastly powerful conceptual being, one who had existed since the multiverse came into exsistene. The Living Tribunal's only superior was the One-Above-All (not to be confused with the Celestial that was known as the One Above All), an entity which was apparently responsible for all life in the multiverse, and possibly beyond, (this includes the Earth-616 Universe, Earth X, the Ultimate Universe, and all other alternate and potential realities).

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

Before they did the Infinity series they had a What if issue, can't remember his name but he had crazy power, actually enlarges himself to sit on the very earth itself while facing down galactus and a bunch others if I remember correctly. He used the ultimate Nullifier and ended everything in that issue. In the regular Avenger comic I believe he allowed himself to be defeated having a human moment.

Comic from early 80's easily.

Found it.

Michael Korvac was a computer technician born on the Blue Area of the Moon of an alternate Earth in the year 2997 (in an alternate future). Due to events surrounding his birth, Michael's father was killed and he was raised by his mother to have a hateful and vengeful attitude. When the Sol System and its colonies were conquered by the alien Brotherhood of Badoon, Korvac became a collaborator and traitor to the human race. Caught asleep at a machine while working, the Badoon grafted Korvac's upper body to a machine, effectively making him a cyborg.

Korvac is then transported through time by the game-playing Grandmaster, who utilizes him as a pawn in battling the hero Doctor Strange and the Defenders. [3] Korvac deliberately loses the fight, so as to be able to discretely scan and analyze the Grandmaster's cosmic power. [4] Gaining several new abilities from this analysis, Korvac then kills his Badoon masters and plans to conquer the cosmos. Korvac recruits a group of aliens called the Minions of Menace and attempts to cause Earth's sun to go nova, but is defeated by the Guardians of the Galaxy and the time-traveling Thunder God Thor. [5] Soon after this defeat Korvac flees across time and space to the Earth-616 mainstream Marvel universe. Upon arrival, Korvac discovers the space station of the cosmic entity Galactus. Attempting to download the knowledge of Galactus from the station into his own system, Korvac is imbued with the Power Cosmic and becomes a god-like being. Korvac then recreates himself as a perfect humanoid form, and posing as a human called Michael, travels to Earth with the intent of reshaping it into a utopia. [6]

Korvac is pursued by the team the Guardians of the Galaxy, who join forces with the superhero team the Avengers in a bid to stop Korvac. Guardian member Starhawk finds Korvac and battles him in secret. Korvac, however, disintegrates Starhawk and then recreates him, but removes from the hero the ability to perceive Korvac in any way so as to avoid future detection. [7] The Elder of the Universe known as the Collector foresees the coming of two beings that would be capable of challenging the Elders (Korvac and Titan Thanos), and remakes his own daughter Carina into a being of incredible power to use as a weapon against them. Although Carina does meet Korvac, the two fall in love and she begins to sympathize with him. The Collector himself is defeated by the Avengers after a failed bid to "collect" and protect them from Korvac, who upon discovering the Collector's plot disintegrates the Elder. [8]

The hero Iron Man eventually tracks Korvac to a residential neighborhood in Forest Hills Gardens, in Queens, New York. The entire Avengers roster, with the heroine Ms. Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy confront Korvac and Carina, who pose as a middle class couple. Korvac's deception is revealed when Starhawk states he cannot see the man called "Michael". Realizing that he has been discovered, and that cosmic entities such as **** and the Watcher are now aware of his existence, Korvac is forced into battle.

Korvac slays wave after wave of heroes, and is finally caught off guard and weakened by Captain America and then Wonder Man. Although able to kill the heroes, Korvac is weakened further by the combined efforts of Starhawk, Iron Man, the Vision and Thor. Sensing that Carina now doubts him, Korvac commits suicide through an act of will. An angered Carina then attacks the surviving heroes, and is finally slain by Thor. The entire battle is watched by part-time Avenger Moondragon, who realizes that Korvac only wanted to help mankind, with his dying act being to restore the Avengers and Guardians to life. [9]

Years later it is revealed that Korvac discarded his power when near death after sensing that Galactus had activated the weapon the Ultimate Nullifier in retaliation for his previous intrusion. Korvac's power eventually inhabits his father, Jordan, who is then killed in battle with the Guardians. This is the catalyst that drives Korvac as an adult to hate the Guardians. [10]

Korvac is later briefly resurrected in human form by the Grandmaster to battle the Silver Surfer.[11] Another Cube appears in the 31st century: wielded once again by the Red Skull. The villain and Captain America use the Cube against the cosmic entity Korvac, with Korvac being scattered across six dimensions.[12]

[edit] Powers and abilities
Korvac was originally a normal man until the Badoon amputated the lower half of his body, and grafted his upper body and nervous system onto a specialized computer module capable of siphoning energy from virtually any source. Korvac's mechanical module could also tap and synthesize any form of energy and concealed advanced weaponry.

After downloading information from Galactus' ship and acquiring the Power Cosmic, Korvac was capable of many feats on par with other cosmic entities, such as matter alteration; energy projection; teleportation and manipulation of time and space. In his perfect human form, Korvac retained all his cosmic abilities and could use these to achieve virtually any effect.

Re: !!!!!!!!!! The conclusion is - PHOENIX IS THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL COMIC CHARACTE

The Phoenix Force is an immortal and mutable manifestation of the prime universal force of life and passion. Born of the void between states of being, the Phoenix Force is a child of the universe. It is the nexus of all psionic energy which does, has, and ever will exist in all realities of the omniverse, the Guardian of Creation, and of the dangerously powerful M'Kraan Crystal.

The Phoenix is among the most feared beings in the entire existence — having the power to cut and re-grow any part of the universe, as well as destroy it entirely, which is part of the Phoenix's purpose: "The Judgment of the Phoenix", to burn away the obsolete. The Phoenix Force is described as being "the embodiment of the very passion of Creation – the spark that gave life to the Universe, the flame that will ultimately consume it."

Realizing this to be true, the Phoenix vowed never again to use its powers to such an extent.
