I remember that shit, my legs still soar from all that damn walking. I got my first job that summer. I worked at McDonald's all the way out on West Chester Pike. Luckily Septa Red Arrow lines were still running so I just had to get to 69th Street to catch the 104. Only problem was I lived up on 52 & Jefferson. So I had to make that long trek back and forth everyday for like the first three weeks until the strike ended. :smh:

Septa is really on some Bull shit. I remember those pussies went on strike(1995) and I had to walk to Dobbins. Bull shit and it was cold:angry:

They should fire and replace the whole lot of those striking ass SEPTA drivers. They hold the entire city hostage every few years with these strikes. From what I hear, SEPTA workers have a pretty good deal. Times is hard with this resession. Do you know how many people out their with CDL licenses that are out of work. They would love to have these SEPTA driving gigs. Same with the out of work bus/train mechanics out there. They would love to have these jobs.

I'm with yall Fuck Septa ! This takes me back to 95 and I had to walk to Dobbins because those fuckers needed more loot.:angry: Bastards I had to take 2 buses. Felt like I was walking forever:angry:

If people dont stop complaining and do something about that strike.
Then everyone get what they deserves.

Dem greedy bastards had 7mil on the table, from what i jus heard on the news they want an auditer to keep an eye on the books cause they think somebody fucckin wit they pention, sounds like some AIG niggas made they way over to septa, my question is we arent the ones fuckin yall over y we gotta pay for somebody else's greed.....On another note did anybody catch all dem empty seats on the highlights last night wit the sixers against the nets, DAM SEPTA FUCKING EVERYTHING UP!!!!!

Dam my bad i thought the title of this post was my PHILLY FAM not my PHILLY and NY fam but maybe i was mistaken anyways you are entiltled to your opinion but let me ask u this how many times in the past 10-15 yrs has ny public transportation been on strike....and as you answer that question imagine how ur citizens will react if yall did, but thanks for ya 2 cents not that i ever asked for them:cool::cool:

i say the people should boycott septa...selma bus boycott style..
fuck em...theyre bitching about shit meanwhile service is NO BETTER AND FARES are high as hell..

after they strike the people should just continue it...until service is better and fares are lower

SEPTA needs to break that fukking union. They have people selling transpasses who are making like $20 an hour and rolling in a benz. hell the dude who crashed the train at 69th st because he was high on coke got his job back, so did the dude who was on the wrong track and crashed into the other train downtown back in the day. They should keep that strike going and break that damn unin. It way to powerful.

We dont have these problems because they contract for the MTA states that for every day they strike, they lose 2 days equivalence of pay and the union has to pay the city as well.
They tried that shit ONE time and had a strike about 2-3 years ago for about 3 days.
:lol::lol::lol: @ that shit though.
I feel bad cuz I got a lot of family in Philly and Montgomery county.

From my understanding, in NY when the tranist union went on strike a few years back, there was a fine of 1 million dollars a day, shit didn't last long.

That is what Philly needs, badly.

I can still get to work since I catch the 100 from 69th st to king of prussia, and a 10 min walk from the train station, but not everyone else in the city is as fortunate.

Also, from what I've been told (my neighbor is a septa driver) it's the union execs fucking everything up, if the workers were allowed to vote on the contract, there never would've been a strike (at least, not this year).

:eek::eek::eek:

I grew up on 55th street in between Lancaster & Jefferson! SAME HOOD FAM:yes::yes::yes:

this shit could go on forever now that the Gov has pulled away. The union head said he will not negotiate with the mayor because the mayor insulted him.

I don't live in the city but i tried to warn the people that i do know that live there not to vote of councilman squidsworth at the time. :smh::smh::smh::smh:

Did you go to Shoe?

Nah... moms sent my black ass to Girard College in the 1st grade. lol! it was the 80s and our hood got hit HARD with the crack epidemic BIG TIME! so by 4th-5th grade moms moved to mt. airy. But my g-mom still live in that house on 55th... been there since the early 70s
