I've been thinking about purchasing a gun for about a year and I just havent been able to decide which one is best for me. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

depends on what your looking for and what you plan on doing with it. . . too many different types

I plan on using it for protection; I want something for the home but that I can carry it with me on occasion. I need something that I know wont jam on me. I was looking at the keltec PF-9 but it doesn't seem "durable".

something like this,no hammer makes it easy to pull out quick from a purse

Okay but I need something to scare someone if I need to. I know it's a gun but if i pull it out, will the person just try to grab it? I need something that would make a nigga jump back.

Based on the thread title and the quote above, I don't think you're ready to own a gun.

You need to commit yourself and do some serious research, and start asking questions at your local range/gun shop.

its called a gun range. visit one and ask one of those rednecks what kind of gun is best for a woman. you'll get the history of the United States and gun ownership as well as a better look at what you are facing in the upcoming race-war

but seriously...a .38 is a good way to go. research.

I suggest you sign up for a handgun home defense class.

Then I suggest you spend some time at your local range to learn how to shoot and to get a feel for different handguns. If you have a friend that can help you out, that would be good.

Oh and fuck that Keltec bullshit. What made you consider that out of all your choices? I agree with SamSneed. A hammerless revolver will probably be best. Small, Easy to use, won't snag... Check out the Smith & Wesson Airweight .38 while you are trying different models.

remeber its not about making folk jump back.and if you have to shot aim at the hip,why cause you shot someone and they may keep coming but take out the hip bone(ilium) and they fall in a blink
