I am so upset by this, how will I make it through the day??

I'm actually looking at this on the news as I type this, but I do need these people to learn English. Mexican ran into the back of me, and 4 mf's in the car, and not one spoke English. I was too pissed then they had stolen plates on the car, and no insurance...didn't know what he was saying. So had to call an interpreter out only for them to go to jail. Then they hollered discrimination...in Spanish of course.
So fuck em, learn English. If you can't speak, can you read it? Because you need to know how to read the street signs.

How much English does one need to know to read traffic signs? She has a license, so she must know enough English to pass the test, thus it's not like she knew no English.

How many times have police pulled folks over and they said they didn't speak English??? Could this be something new just for that cause they dont see it as an excuse anymore? Why is America the only place where folks dont have to know the language to move up in the world? You got to Germany, France, Italy etc. you speak that lang so WTF is the problem??
Unless you are an athlete, no way a non-English speaker will ever move up in America. They will just be just day-laborers or nannies.
I wonder if the driving tests are available in Spanish as well...maybe thats why/how she was able to get a license. Like the vid said, there's no law on the books that you have to know English to drive a private vehicle...
In Florida you can take the test in Spanish or Creole. They don't play that in most states. Sucks to be her.
i agree. Its one thing if you are here on vacation and driving but how hell these people get long term working abilities and not learn the language.

We make it too easy for people to live here and not speak the native language. Once I was working in a store off of Hillside Ave in Queens. Some kid came into the store with his mother. The mother didn't speak any English. The kid was about 11 yrs old and SPOKE PERFECT ENGLISH WITH NO ACCENT. What that told me is that his little ass grew up in the NYC school system and it all that fucking time his mother NEVER LEARNED THE FUCKING LANGUAGE.
If after 10 yrs you can't speak passable English is tome to pack your shit and get on the fastest boar back to teh Dominican Republic!!!
