Ya'll a bunch of hypocritical mutha fuckas!!!!!!!!!!! ya'll post thousands of bitches on here that look just like this chick! And now ya'll gonna bitch because she won Miss Hampton? Please, niggas! They did the same thing you bamas do on here everyday and that is tell sistah's that they are not "fine" enough to represent you. Look at all the magazines that show latinas or mixed sistah's, anything but a black woman. Hell this board should be called ABBGOL or Anything But Black Girls Online! Shame on all of you bamas!
I don't see an argument here either...which is why I find the division the local newspaper and Twitter/Facebook heads talking of interesting...
She's a student, so we can't say, "No, you can't compete/take part in university events." If that was the case, people should have "hated" all the other non-black persons that attended Hampton, and the community, when I was there, was never like that![]()
Now, how do we generate that same energy and debate around stuff that actually matters? Thats the question...

All the bitch's at HU are HO's. I used to run through bitch's all year and i did not even go there.
Dude, he just posted an article to start a discussion, did you read anything he said
And most HBCU's are already diverse. Most are around 5% to 15% non black.
I'm guessing social media has allowed this to become more of a story than it really should be.
If this happened 10 yrs ago, there would be a lil gossip/ hate and maybe a 30 second spot on the local evening news...maybe. It would blow over after homecoming.
2009... it gets facebooked and twittered across the whole hbcu network. Thousands of people weigh in. Wouldnt be surprised if CNN picks it up within a week or two. They love gossipy divisive shit like this.
Now, how do we generate that same energy and debate around stuff that actually matters? Thats the question...
I'm sorry that THAT was your experience with Hampton women...
I do believe that "hoes" can be found at any local college or institution, though![]()
And as far as HBCUs being diverse already... 5% to 15% is a start, but I think if non-black students continue to participate more in activities other than class, and become more visible, (in athletics, the community, student government, etc.) that would start to change the perception, and possibly raise those percentages... which would be a good thing.
Again... just my $0.02
Who votes in the Miss HU queens? As a kid,I used to read Ebony Magazine and was surprised at how ugly most of the HBCU queens were.Is it an academic thing? Looks wise, the winner looks better than the other 3.The two on her right are ugly and the one on the left looks kinda chubby. In the grand scheme of things, the chicks should concentrate on stepping their game up whether than woried about holding back this chick.Just like the white valedictorian.Instead of trying to exclude him, they should just use him as motivation to do better themselves.
They can. But this chicks go to these parties and get wild son. Shit its funny because they be all high and mighty thinking they hot shit until they get a few drinks and weed in them. Then the sucking mad nigga's off and fucking like crazy. Norfolk state was much worst.
Basically, the question is should a white girl represent an HBCU?
A lot of people have been blowing this story up on Twitter and Facebook
Personally, hey, reverse discrimination is still discrimination...more power to her![]()
Same thing I'm trippin' on fam... do they have to make it so obvious?
I mean... if she won fair and square, what's the big deal?![]()
She can enroll, so she should have the opportunity to run for and win whatever she wants, regardless of her skin color... right?
stop hating. its 2009 if shes paying tution shes a student and if she won she won. end of story cant have every thing one sided
So are you saying that a BLACK WOMAN should not be allowed represent a predominately white university?

Fixed: FOX and CNN
Oh yeah ... if she shouldn't run/compete, shouldn't they give her a discount on tuition?
What's that supposed to mean?!?![]()
because the real HU is HOWARD UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!!![]()
Lol @ the two lemon heads to the right of her.
They could give her a "minority" scholarship, no?![]()

C/S what everyone above said.
What the fuck do Black people want? We want diversity, we want the same opportunity as everyone else? Yet we don't want people to have equal opportunity with our shit? WTF? Welcome to diversity and true equality bitches... it works both ways. If this woman is paying to go to school there and meets the requirements to run... what the fuck is the problem? The hypocrisy of my people sometimes...swear it makes me sick.
Ok Now as a Hamptonian i can say this!!! I don't have a problem with a white Miss Hampton!! I have problem with the way she was chosen!! When i was at Hampton back in the 80's the students voted on Miss Hampton!! Now there letting a panel ... oh hell no!! Anyone can run but this chick was on the satellite campus in VA Beach... if the students had a vote she would of had to campaign on the main campus!! But since it was a panel of non students look what we have!! Now if she had been voted on by the student body everything would of been kool! So its not about her its about the process!! Now she was dead wrong about the letter to President Obama... thats just looks like a cheap publicity stunt!! She'd be better off if she just came outside the Union and interduced herself to the student body!! The President is not going nowhere near this one!!
Oh i can't wait till Homecoming Weekend this year!!!
nigga u a hoe, im not I don't pay money to pimps
GET YO BROKE NON-PAYING ASS OFF THE BOARD. YO OPINION MEANS LESS THAN NOTHING BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE FIT TO DROP A MEASLY ASS $10 FOR A BOARD YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN'T LEAVE. TIME'S TICKING BITCH.

Problem is you can't have selected outrage. if this is truly an issue it has to be addressed before a racial element is introduced. Like i said above, when you are in the dominant, you have to fair also.
I have more of a problem of her being a commuter student than her being white.
She's not even a real student to speak on and represent Hampton IMO. You go to class in Va Beach and go home. You might have a few classes on the main campus, and you probably don't go to any university activities.![]()

Let's not lose focus of the argument here...
The argument is, can/should a woman who doesn't identify as black (and isn't black) represent an HBCU?
