Man, does that thing contain aluminum?

I don't know. I just can't stand scented deodorant.

From wiki:
The gel version of their product used to contain 20% of the anti-perspirant Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly. The formula has since been changed to Aluminum Sesquichlorohydrate

http://www.thegoodhuman.com/2008/05/14/top-10-cosmetic-toxins-to-avoid/

My wife Amy uses Alima mineral makeup, and with her last order they sent a card that outlined the top 10 cosmetic toxins to avoid and why to avoid them. I figured I would share with those of you looking for healthier and safer makeup choices!

BHA – (Butylated hydroxyanisole) Toxic to the liver, immune and nervous systems; possible carcinogen

BHT – (Butylated hydroxytoluene) Toxic to the brain, nervous, and respiratory systems; possible carcinogen and endocrine disruptor (See what I wrote before about BHT)

D & C Colorants – Toxic to nervous and reproductive systems

Eugenol – Toxic to the immune and nervous systems, endocrine disruptor

Formaldehyde – Toxic to the immune and respiratory systems; carcinogen

Nitrosamines – endocrine disruptor; possible carcinogen

P-Phenylenediamine – Toxic to the immune, respiratory, and nervous systems

Parabens – Endocrine disruptor, neurotoxic; possible carcinogen

Phthalates – Toxic to the immune, nervous, and reproductive systems

Triethanolamine – Toxic to the immune and respiratory systems; possible carcinogen

It’s amazing what they put in cosmetics that people are supposed to use on their skin!

Soaps have BHA and BHT

used mitchum's for about 15 years, but stopped after I found out about the harms of anti-antiperspirants. Tom's of Maine worked, but irritated my underarms.

I use this now, and I'm pleased:

That shit is garbage. I was hoping someone said it so I can say how uneffective that piece of shit deodorant is...the white one forms fuckin clumps under your arms and leaves a white residue which stains your shirt...and the clear gel is totally uneffective and does not protect you...

Einstein, you know they have different kinds right?

They also have the roll on and the clear stick

And different things work for different people..

im a man but I fucks with Ladys Speed Stick only can fuck with Shower Fresh or Powder Fresh all the other brands make me sweat

I could never fuck with roll-ons them shits are the worst

UPDATE, been using this Thai Crystal stone all week. Maaaaaaaan, this shit is the truth! When I bought it, I had some serious doubts and smell flashbacks with the last natural deodorant I purchased. Especially when I was applying it. You just wet the stone with water and rub it under your arms. I read some reviews and rubbed it over a larger area(more up the arm and down the side) than typical deoderant. It kept me dry and funkless all day. I kept lifting up my shirt and smelling my pits like "is this shit working?" My co-workers were looking at me like . I just gave 'em the :hmm: It feels like your wearing nothing, it doesn't have a residue either.
I haven't been to the gym to give it the workout test(cause I'm a lazy bastard right now), but I doubt I'll have a problem.

Don't sleep fam, thanks for the info whoever, suggest the stone.

Renal dysfunction/Kidney disease

The FDA warns "that people with renal dysfunction may not be aware that the daily use of antiperspirant drug products containing aluminum may put them at a higher risk because of exposure to aluminum in the product."
The agency warns people with renal dysfunction to consult a doctor before using antiperspirants containing aluminum.

good shit, I usually switch up from time to time. Raw, Speed Stick(reg/no alum.), adidas anti-persp(has alum & hate it but use it on occas.).

I might try some of the others products mentioned in this thread if I can find something that works all year, I'm good.

Why anyone would willingly use poisons on their body in this day and age is beyond me..
