Never had any problems with Hotfile. I downloaded a bunch of Japanese content off of them in August and it all went smoothly (all the files were 240 - 370mb; about 30 of them over 2 weeks). The thing I liked about HOTFILE is that there was a quick/short wait period between downloading files. Usually only about 14 - 20 minutes or so, it seemed (?).
