White folks voted for him out of fear and 90% out of the 95% of Black folks voted for him because on the outside he resembles of a Black man.

And thats the way Obama bosses will use him. Tha same way they used Bush to push their BS policies, theyre gonna use Obama the same way. Mainly because he's searching for more clout and they know he wil accept it.
A lot of Obama's supporters on BGOL dont wanna admit that he's fucking up with all the BS talk and forcing of governmental control. Theyre tryign to give him a chance because he the first Black president. Subconsciously, a lot of Obama's Black supporters are supporting him based off their emotions. They know the world is on his shoulders so Black folks wanna stick together for the sake of making Obama's first 4 years look good. Even if it means they have to co-sign BS. Theyll find a way to justify his fuck ups instead of admitting that he's fucking up.
Instead of focusing on Obama's growing celebrity status, I think we need to focus more on our freedom's, the money thats being taken from us and the BS our government is force feeding us all because some Lobbyists want things to go their way. Just because he's Obama, that doesnt mean he shouldnt feel pressure from the American people.

Leaders of historically black colleges say they'll fight a reduction in a federal program they call a financial lifeline at a time of economic distress for the schools and their students.
President Barack Obama's education budget, unveiled Thursday, included major spending increases in many areas — but didn't include an extra $85 million that black institutions have received annually for the past two years thanks to a 2007 change to the student loan laws.
That two-year-old program provided direct funds to federally recognized HBCUs — historically black colleges and universities.
Other direct federal support to the schools would increase from $238 million to $250 million, but with the expiration of the HBCU fund the schools effectively would see a $73 million cut.
A program supporting Native American tribal colleges would also see decreased funding, while one for institutions serving large numbers of Hispanic students would see an increase from $93 million to $98 million.
im not an obama apologist by any means and i do think at times he starts to slip into this mentality of feeling like he has to criticize in order to appease the more conservative faction of the country, BUT... i think part of his thought process is to say that despite the many structural challenges that blacks face, there are still a lot of things that individuals can do to lift themselves out of their situations. yes, there is a problem of lack of opportunities for inner city children, but that doesn't mean that for instance parents shouldn't play a more active role in their kid's educations, etc.

i think you are correct in what you're saying. immigrants that come here (although the majority of the time, they have the economic opportunity to come here) are of a different mindset of those born here, and whose families have been here for generations... they appreciate the opportunities that education, hard work, and loyalty to family provide more so (based off of my experiences)
also, it IS a 2 part message, in a sense...while there are many outside factors that can hamper the black community, and does hamper the black community (for example, the lack of employment in black areas, the lack of black men w/ jobs, the lack of music and science programs in the schools that can foster the creativity and the analytical minds of the youth), at the same time, we are wholly responsible for our actions in the end. so BO and those upwardly mobile blacks need to play chess to get what needs to be done, or a foundation started in the black community...if that's their end goal..
and us...we have to play checkers..and start choosing better decisions.
