My idea is a bit far fetched too ... I initially sort of thought the wife did it ... that would explain his multiple gun shot wounds ... then she killed the mistress with just the one shot to make it seem like it was her who did it on a murder suicide thing ... then the wife wouldn't be a suspect and she would get all the sympathy cuz her husband died while cheating ... it's a crazy theory I know

I never considered the wife, but the only thing that throws both our theories out is that if there was a 3rd person, he would have heard it...maybe, unless he is a hard sleeper, because the whole sleeping thing throws this thing off.

With Steve Mc taking that many slugs I doubt it would have been the Mrs.

I've been caught cheating before and I've seen cheating from a distance, in almost every case the chic is furious with the dude but she absolutely CAN'T STAND the other chic. If wifey did it there's no way he takes slugs at a rate of 4:1, the side piece would have definitely taken more than 1.

As for the theory of the wife doing McNair in. Why would she when she can divorce him and take him to the cleaners? Why risk your freedom? If she flipped he would have caught it while awake. If she did it while asleep she would have put one in his head. No gunshots heard, or none that I've read reported, roommate (another ballplayer) came home and found them and they had been dead approximately 2 hours, he called someone else, I guess out of nervousness, and then they called the police. TOD of supposedly around 1am on a Sat night/morning. Which makes you wonder why no one heard 5 gunshots blasting off.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Federal prosecutors announced gun charges Friday against a convicted murderer who admitted he sold the pistol that was used to kill ex-NFL quarterback Steve McNair(notes).

Adrian J. Gilliam Jr., 33, of LaVergne, Tenn., was arrested by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

He is charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Conviction could bring a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, federal prosecutors said.

Detectives traced the gun, a 9 mm Bryco/Jennings, to its 2002 sale at a pawn shop, according to the complaint. Gilliam eventually bought it from an individual for $100 about a year or year and a half ago. Investigators said Gilliam told them he bought the gun for protection after his home was burglarized, and police reports indicate he did report a burglary about the time of the gun purchase.

According to court documents, Gilliam told detectives he sold the gun to Kazemi for $100. Nashville Police Chief Ronal Serpas said at a news conference of federal and local officials Friday that Gilliam decided to sell the gun because his wife was afraid to have it in their house.

I never believed the official story either. Women don't do two shots to the head and two to the chest like that. Hitmen and real killers do that shit all day though. I don't know of anyone who has ever survived that combination of wounds. That style usually makes sure that both hemispheres of the brain are penetrated, as well as both lungs...no chance. Who knows though. People get killed everyday and it gets called accident, suicide, natural causes, drug overdoses, etc. Look at MJ. Most folks believe he did that shit to himself. Sad.
