You can roll the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis all into one and still not come close to the extraordinary talent that was Brother Michael Jackson.

I just learned the REAL reason why MJ purchased the rights to Elvis' catalog. They said that he bought them so that the black artists that got ripped off by Elvis could finally get paid. If this is true, that is the coolest shit in the world.

I lost my father 24 days before Mike passed to the same thing that I believe killed Mike (cardiac arrest). Basically the same scenario, collapsed at home, by the time the ambulance got him to the ER, he was not responsive, & they weren't able to revive him..... LIFE IS FLEETING PEOPLE - ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN - IT COULD SOON BE GONE........

Obama took 11 days to respond to the Iranian protests, bloodshed and cries of the people there for freedom. It took him five days to make a decision to allow our military to rescue a captive boat captain from Somalian pirates. He has sent letters of reprimand to the leader of North Korea for defying U.N. sanctions and threatening to nuke the United States. But he’s also reassured them that we won’t do anything about it if we find that they are carrying nukes around in their ships. However, it seems that when he received some criticism from Michael Jackson fans for not giving a formal acknowledgment of the singer’s death, he responded quickly with a letter to the Jackson family offering his condolences.
Its all about priorities, I suppose.
It was discussed on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ on Sunday. Obama senior advisor David Axelrod said that the president had written a letter to the family to share his feelings. Axelrod also said that Obama was prepared to recognize Jackson when he met with the press last Friday with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Shockingly, no one asked him a question about Jackson’s death, so the subject didn’t come up in the Merkel - Obama press conference.
It is commendable that the Obama White House resisted making a formal comment until Friday afternoon when brief comments were made during the daily briefing by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. At least they tried to keep a bit of decorum about the whole situation and maintain a semblance of separation of entertainment and state.
Axelrod said that Obama views Jackson as an important and spectacular performer who led a sad and tragic life. The letter hasn’t been released to the public.
