what are some of the movies that you slept on that turned out to be good. and maybe those of us who haven't watched that particular movie will go and watch it.

my 1st movie is Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber. i initially didn't want to watch it because of all the singing but when i actually sat down and paid attention, this is an excellent movie

Yeah, I watched the whole damn thing the other day and actually like it. Improbable plot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Did not expect much from these films. One is a musical, the other I had never heard of until researching the people that made the film....both really good films

I didn't care much for the trailers but the positive buzz made me check it and I was blown away.

This was the last of those "Teacher vs Students" movies (Dangerous Minds,Substitute) and the subject became played out. But then my little cousin rented it and I decided to watch it with him. Couldn't believe how deep and intense this shit turned out to be.

Can't stand Jim Carrey and knew little about Andy Kaufman...But I ended up really loving this one.

I thought "A 3-hour movie where you don't even find the fuckin' killer" would be a complete waste of time, but this movie surprised the fuck outta me! Incredibly slick, beautifully shot,well-acted and really suspenseful. The only 3-hour movie in recent times that flies by so fast.

Great soundtrack too.
