I have to admit I was pretty mean to cats when I was a kid. I have a few cats now and they are treated very well. I think we are so well healed these days that we forget that these animals are low on the food chain and want to ruin a human life as revenge for harming an animal. Too bad we don't have canning in the United States but prison or putting the kid away for any amount of time is way too harsh, in my opinion.
