Judging by the show's huge success (especially early on), it was obviously the right move by the network. Lee couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.
 
I was 10 years old when I say "Kung Fu" in 1979 on channel 11 WPIX New York City that time. He was a great villain in "Kill Bill".

Just 2 years ago, he made the Yellow Book pages commericals on T.V.
