Chalk is funnier though..
They were both funny, but Kobe's had more bite. Throwing chalk on a player because you made the play-offs (just like HE did) vs a player rubbing his 3 champ rings in your face (3 to your 0) is MUCH funnier to me.
But, hey... It's all subjective to opinion.

Speakin of Kobe, I was watching ESPN earlier and they had a few minutes of a preview of this special coming on. Its by Spike Lee and its called Kobe Doin Work. Its coming on Saturday at 8pm est on ESPN
It was interesting it had Kobe narrating shit while clips from 1 game against the spurs during the 08 playoffs. Him in the locker room and on the court, warmups and shit after the game. It is a special about getting inside the mind of Kobe.

I guess Magic's don't count either because he had Kareem and Pat Riley. And of course MJ had Pippen and Phil Jackson. Joe Dumars had Isiah....basketball is a TEAM sport. You have to have good players around you to win. Kobe was an all star before Phil Jackson got there. Yes Shaq was clearly the leader of that team but Kobe wasn't even 21 when they began their championship run. BTW, how many did Shaq win before Kobe?

One. He played on a team with Dwyane Wade where he was the sidekick to Finals MVP Wade. That was very fortunate for Shaq to be able to go to Miami where they already had a great perimeter player like Wade. If the Lakers could have somehow received Tim Duncan in return when they traded Shaq, Kobe might have at least one more as well. But Kobe still has a few good years left and will have an opportunity to win a few more. So we'll see who has more at the end of their careers although that wasn't really your original point.

No you're right. They mean less than nothing as to who is better right now or who is gonna win the jewelry this year. However, when their careers are over and people start comparing their legacies, one will inevitably have to look at the number of titles won by each to determine their place on the basketball hierarchy. Like it or not those rings are important. It is the primary(not the only) reason Duncan>>>>>>Malone and Barkley.
