I got called a "HATER" for saying the Lakers don't play with intensity on the defensive end consistently. If they win this series (which they should), they won't win a title playing like this. They have the talent to win it all, it's the intensity... the psychology of the team that is problematic.

Why is Michael Jordan missing so many shots?
That's not Michael, that's Kobe.
I thought he was the best.
He's not son.

Apparently it won't fly against the Rockets either![]()
1. Michael is Michael. Whether he's the G.O.A.T or not is debatable - but it had to be more than skill that allowed Jordan to dominate the game the way he did. To think of the guys that are ring-less because of Jordan is incredible(I know it's a team effort, but without MJ ... come on...). So, while I didn't attend those games you attended, it would not surprise me if what you said is true.
2. Unfortunately, the Lakers are not the type of team you can count on to bring it every night. What they are is a very talented team that can run most teams out of the gym if they ever focus and bring the intensity.
To me, that is the BIGGEST difference between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Michael, mentally, was a lot more stable than Kobe. Outside of athleticism, which Jordan clearly had more of, I think Kobe can do most everything Jordan can do. I can tell when Kobe is focused and when he's not. When you see him coasting out there on the court, and not being assertive, the shots he take will likely not fall. He IS my favorite player, but he is very weird as an offensive player. It's like, he's either extremely hot or extremely cold. Michael Jordan was never a streaky shooter like Kobe. He'd knock down one, miss a few. Knock down three, miss a few ...
...but by the end, he's shooting around his usual fifty percent. Kobe is either going to go nuts in the beginning, and cool off in the end...
...or he'll be cold in the beginning, and go nuts in the end. It's frustrating, but I'm accustomed to him after all these years.
