***The Official Laker's vs Rocket's Thread

Kobe is top 10-15 easy he'll be top 5 or higher when he finishes with a couple more rings. all nba, all defense, mvp's, rings, not many players ever have his resume.Plus he'll be top 2-3 in scoring for his career.

Top 15? Not yet...once he gets more rings then I will consider it. Hell, I don't consider him as the greatest player for his franchise. jaylen you should know who that is ;)

I have a question, though...If he is even among the top 25 or 30 of all time at this point, who else that is in the league now would be on that level, too? And is there more than two players other than Kobe on that list?

Kobe has no problem using all his weapons. When he had the dynasty he maxed out on what they had.

Yes he did(especially on the third title run), but kind of went away from that in the two years afterward. Then he went on the do everything mode when the key guys (Shaq, Horry, Fisher) left. Now he has all the pieces he needs...It's a waiting game now

Shaq and Tim Duncan at this point, Lebron is on his way but really hasn't been playing at the level he is at now long enough

Yeah that's the same thing I'd say...

Wade and Carmelo have the potential to be there, too...but it won't be for another six years or so before we get the verdict on them (and LeBron)

funny how no more than 5 people are replying in this thread after a win. but when theres a loss, 30 different people are chiming in. pathetic

See, that's what I was sayin' pages back. When Lakers lose it's crowded than a muthafucka. But when they win, you only hear the wind blowin' and tumbleweeds rollin' past you 'n shit.:lol:

that's what i was thinking, only during the game.

where were all the fair weather fans and band wagoneers during the game?

i guess it's easier to crawl out from under after the game is over.

pathetic for sure.

Cause Niggas HATE what they can't be. They Hate the fact the KOBE is an extraordinary player, they HATE the fact that the LAKERS are on a run to the championship this year, they HATE the fact that JORDAN isn't the only nigga who can win multiple championships and pursuit GREATNESS, they HATE the fact that a NIGGA beat a rape case against a white bitch that lied and it didn't break a nigga down, Niggas HATE what they can't BE!!!!!

Always happens when popular teams play (Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys) that are despised by many...

But it also makes the thread more fun to follow at times...

Well i post after both a win and a loss. Cant speak for everyone else though. Depending on where i'm watching the game (or who i'm with), i may post during the game.

You can tell by that who's a basketball fan and who's a hater/stan. There's one that tries to slip past the hater label by attempting to post during the game but if you check the last 3 pages and see his and my comments to each other you can see he doesn't do a good job at it. Like i've always said ANYBODY can look up some stats or the new thing were they record the game and then come back later making points that can't be disputed if the other person didn't record the game too BUT if you get the in a real time discussion they fold everytime:yes::yes:

Yep. That is probably much the only thing that will get him over the hump...otherwise, his legacy will always be tied to Shaq.

There will still always be an excuse to invalidate Kobe though

"His team was stacked, he didnt do much"

"Stern wanted him to get it with all those BS calls, ratings man, ratings"

"The League is watered down, it's not like he had to face anybody tough, Jordan had to deal with the Jazz/Suns/Knicks etc

[Cranrab]" Kobe's not even the best player on the team, Gasol CARRIED the Lakers to the Championship.
Look at the stats.....when Kobe's in the game, the Lakers go down 16 points, when he leaves, The Lakers go on 20 to nothing runs and every role player is 16 for 16 from the field and the Lakers play better [/Cranrab]

He has a real chance to cement his legacy. Most likely the Cavs and Lebron James will make it out of the EAST. So if the Lakers go the Finals, he will have a chance to face the team with the League's best record, the league's MVP, etc. Plus, he will be able to finally get a title without Shaq. It won't be anything you could take from him at that point IF he manages to get a Final's victory. Winning a title this year with a good/great performance would be the defining moment of his career.

Co-sign, lots of great players have never won a title and their legacy is cemented. Kobe has three rings and the only people that can dispute are the hatering stat geeks that post stuff AFTER CERTAIN games. I don't believe you can truly gauge a persons performance on their stats, i've explained it in basketball and football threads and some cats still act like they don't understand it

I got a $100 that says if the Lakers win the championship this year there will be at least a five page thread of cats trying to find some way to discredit it and say he wasn't the reason they won

It's all or nothing, though, because a second straight Finals loss will do irrepairable harm to his legacy...

Re: ***The Official Laker's vs Roccet's Thread

i hope the rockets win.

im just tired of the lakers. nothing personal, i wanna see the nuggets in the finals.

and btw.....kobe crossed the stiches off battier's face

but battier slayin em rite now with this scoring

The Rockets are running like the Magic were when Howard was out that one game...

Looks like Gasol is struggling early due to good post defense.

Oh and Coach Jackson might think about having Fish on the bench to start out the games...What ya'll think?

THEY NEED TO GET FISHERS SLOW ASS OUT THE GAME

I like Fish and all, but he keeps getting BEAT on defense which is why these niggas is having wide open shots, hes passing up on 3's and shit, just fucking up the flow.

They need to put Farnar BACK in the game for matchup purposes only, its common sense

*EDIT* LMAO at the replay and kobe getting smacked around in the head and face with no calls
