How do you unlock/jailbreak iphone???

I'm a T-Mobile subscriber who got his hands on an iphone 3g... i "erased the iphone" to restore default everything before i tried to use it... bad move i take it ... with my T-Mobile sim in place, the iphone is telling me to plug it up via usb n open itunes, but when I plug it in nothing happens... i can't use the phone at this point... i know it's a simple fix but there's too much useless info on the net to navigate around so i decided to hit the fam (nigga u not fam ya cheap ass aint donate yet proof)

Quickpwn.com I'm with T-mobile and I have no problems. Until they got rid of t-zones, I had internet for $5.99 a month I also have a 2g which is easier to unlock and jailbreak ,but you should be good if you have a 3g, they just take longer to find a way to unlock it.

I think you would have to insert the SIM card of course. You need to download Itunes, because thats the only way you can connect you Iphone to a PC(and use it) When you download Itunes it should automatically update your firmware.

Go to Craigslist and type in jailbreak or unlock Iphone.

Mad people/stores in the 5 boroughs are advertising jailbreaking/unlock services.

it is used and i did reset it... i took it to the arabs n dude said it has modem firmware 2.3 which cannot be unlocked so i would have to switch to att or just sell the fone cuz right now i can only use it as a itouch and access to facebook via wifi (which i have via 3g on my g1 )

the arab dude jailbroke it for me... so i have some use now... i juss hooked it up 2 my oc and itunes is askin me to set it up... im not fuckin wit it anymore for now

i'm slightly dissapointed with g1 so far, but its still kinda early... i would like to fuck with the iphone, but i dunno if it's worth paying cancellation fee with tmo then locking into a 2 yr contract with att (primarily bcuz theres a million rumors that a new iphone will drop in a couple of months)

is there anyway i can get att service without locking into a contract that wont allow me to upgrade wif/when an improved ifone drops???

I work for TMobile as an authorized dealer thru Wal-Mart. Only way to get the IPhone w/o a contract is buying it straight out...Best Buy sells refurbed IPhone 3G & Blackberry Storms(u can use on TMobile Service).

What?.. we do we need a VGA camera when we have a 5mp camera. Well, this is coming guys. The VGA camera is for video calling. The rumors finally will become true. T-Mobile will launch video call service at the end of January 2009 and the T-Mobile G2 will be one of the first devices that will be capable for video call. Now, think about twice when you make a video call.

i have the g1 now... didnt live up to its hype thus far (i kno its still early)... the app market is flooded with garbage... dont feel like hanging around

i have the iphone already... i wanted 2 stay with tmo bcuz my girl n i have a shared plan and didnt wanna break that up... i talked a att rep into sending me a sim and letting me activate without a contract.. im gonna run both of the fones 2getha for a month and see which i like best than get rid of 1...

the big plus for g1 right now is the threaded email and physical keyboard... but the iphone 3.0 software looks promising (as does cupcake which seems like it will neva drop)

anyway... some arab dude jailbroke my iphone... can i undo that by simply restoring it via itunes? now that i have a att account theres no need to do this illegal bullshit n void warranty... hopefully its not too late

i reeeally dont wanna cancel my tmo contract tho.. i been with em for over 6 yrs and the service has been great... but im gonna need 3g on that iphone for heavy browsing n such

You need to download a program called WinPwn and an unlocked copy of the 2.0 firmware. Do a YouTube search and you'll find plenty of videos on how to unlock them.

the iphone i have has the 2.3 modem firmware which cannot be unlocked... only way around it would be a turbosim or sim adapter... according to the arabs/euros

Don't update to 2.2.1 if you want to unlock to use on a different network. You can jailbreak using quickpwn. After that you can unlock using yellowsnow found in cydia.

You will need to downgrade to an older 2.0 firmware version.

When I unlocked my phone I had to download an older version on Itunes and an unlocked 2.0 firmware file that was compatible with WinPwn. It can be unlocked but you'll need patients because you have to do all the steps in the correct order

If you're modem firmware says 2.30 then you can't unlock it. Not yet at least.
