Some would say Chris should have just restrained her if she was trying to beat on him. But what if he just wasn't strong enough to hold her down, or too busy driving to deflect the punches? Is he just supposed to take the beating then?

Law enforcement doesn't take it seriously when a man reports a woman for abuse. But even if she doesn't leave marks, there is still psychological damage being done. And that would have been absolute murder for his image. He'd probably catch worse flack than he is now, if he had to take Rhianna to court over domestic violence. I doubt even his fans would stand behind him.
