~ Comics New releases ~

that f'n Thor #600 was the shit!!!! That fight scene between Thor and Bor was classic...and i'm buggin' on how they just shrugged off the "Dark Avengers" like they wasn't even there. LOL @ Thor sayin' "blasphemy!" when the Fake Avengers showed up.

Does anybody know if there's an app to read comics on the G1?

Thor has become one of the few comics that I REALLY look forward to reading. It's well written, well drawn & most importantly well thought-out.

Damn that was fast! Thanks NubiaNectar. Whenever I see one of your posts I spend 10 seconds reading it. Then I spend 10 minutes staring at your sig pic. :D

By the way, I meant to write "Not a comic book nerd, but i'm trying to find a PDF for someone who is." Whoops!

Without a doubt the Thor book is more or less one of the only books Marvel's putting out that's worth the cover price.

It's well written, has fantastic art and just has that Lord Of The Rings feel without seeming dated.

Loki is living up to his/her well earned title as the God of Mischief and the Asgardian intrigue keeps getting better and better with each passing issue.

I didn't think anyone could do as worthy a job as the Jack Kirby/Stan Lee creative combo from from back in the 60's but Walt Simonson and now, J.M Strazynski (sp) have really kept the book going from strength to strength.:yes::yes:

Let me once again say thanks for the Heavy Metal series, the art in those things is absolutely phenomenal.:dance::dance: With all of the good comic book art out here they should be doing better than what they doing.:smh:

STRAIGHT UP! The first 2 Pages got me HOOKED!

I seriously think DOG from Wolverine Origins is Sabre Tooth's Biological Dad.

"It's in your Blood..."

That is possible. They have rewritten both their origins so many times it's crazy. There was an old issue of Uncanny X-Men where Sabertooth looked in his 30's and Wolverine was in his teens.
They were living on a farm and I assume Sabertooth was his "father/guardian". He kept asking him if he did his chours and calling him "pup".

While we are on the subject of Wolverine.
If Wolverine is the best at what he does then why is he always getting captured, tortured, shot, stabbed, impaled, burned, blown up, ect... On a regular basis.
He is either very sloppy or really reckless.
Those thing usually never happen to people without a healing factor.
And i'm starting to think that The Punisher has some kind of healing factor with the kind of abuse he survives.

You know what issue that is? I wanna check it out and try to piece my own conclusions together.

because when he comes back from thas ass whoopin he usually finds ans kills whoever did him
i think he does it intentionally :dunno: kill me cause i'm coming back and give me a reason to kill you and whoever :dunno:

"GEEK TIME"

I have no idea.
It was back in the early 200's. I want to say 212-214 but that was during the Mutant Massacre.

i will agree that Wolverine sacrifices himself because he can come back from it.

It could be possible... but ever since reading the Born mini series I've been thinking that Death (or possibly Mephisto) has some stake in the Punisher. In Born, there was some voice talking to Frank about him wanting to continue his war even though his tour had ended. One of the last images that was shown in the last issue was Frank's family surrounded by a white skull. He made a deal with one of the above to continue his war & the price was his family. I think that is the reason why he is still alive. If it weren't for that he would have been dead a long time ago.

I just think Marvel injects cold hard case into his veins to keep him going.

The character is simply to popular for them to do away with so in one issue he will take a grenade to the face and 1 issue later is back on the streets reloading his .45.

Did anyone hear them say at NY COMIC CON that The Ultimate Universe will be done away with by the end of this year?

Yeah but they're just relaunching it. There will be an Ultimate Spider-Man Vol 2, Ultimate Avengers and New Ultimates. Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men are toast.
