Not that all Africans allowed it to happen. But there were some that worked with the Europeans to capture other africans. How do you think they were able to navigate through the jungles. They had to have guides that knew the terrain.

And if they were lucky enough to find an African who would trade that service for weapons to use against a rival tribe, better yet lead them to the rival tribe for enslavement. What tribal chief wouldn't help.

Its a known fact that it was some Africans that did help. Just like it were some Jewish people that helped Hitler in his quest.
