I am REALLY curious. No, I do not mean if you can toast a Pop tart or boil some water. I mean cook a meal that is edible and your mother would like to eat.

Ladies, do you care if your man can cook or not?

Had no choice but to learn since when I first started to live on my own never really trust any woman to cook for me.

any man that cannot cook is a waste.
 
I'm pretty good on a grill, but cooking? :smh: I've lived in my home for over 2 yrs and I don't think I've ever turned on the oven. I eat out at a restaurant..not fast food, damn near everyday.
 
A man who can not cook is not a deal breaker for me, but... it's a nice perk. Kinda like a man who can sing or loves to do laundry
 
i have to cook my fear of germs will only allow me to eat food from certain peoples houses. All of those people i have known for a very very very long time. The worst thing in the world is when we have "potluck" day at work and people say did you try my dish... I really think i have OCD i need to seek help almost killed the clerk at WaWa yesterday for attempting to fold my newspaper. :smh::smh::smh:

...for a man, cooking is a skill, a survival one at that, that can separate you from the pack, but it is not like being able to call your homies up and swapping an engine out, or changing a flat tire in the rain. Having to depend on your woman for cooking is, well, pretty much normal...even in our matriarchal culture...having to depend on your woman to to turn the gas on or electricity, well, you are what we call a "bitch nigga"...it is what it do...
 
I think its sexy if a guy can cook... we can get in that kitchen together and make some meals... that is always fun... :D
 
as much as i like to eat i found myself in front of the stove at an early age..and i'm glad i took the initiative too, cause maaaaaaaaan..
 
well im southern and i grew up in a single parent home so its only mandatory that you learn how to cook at a young age!!! and esp since in the great state of Louisiana we dont really eat everyones cooking you gotta do it yaself

I grew up with a single mother who went to work at 11-12 and got off at 8pm. She usually made it in the door at 8:45-9:00. So I cooked dinner often. I still cook all the time. The only thing I cannot cook (that black people love to eat) is chitterlings. I wish I did, cause I love'em.
 
My significant other, I feel, likes to show off his cooking skills. He is a pretty good cook, and I enjoy that about him. I always think it's a nice date night to share a recipe or cook something together. An ideal date I have is to do sushi lessons with my S.O... not cooking, necessarily, but still a nice, cool trait to bring into the relationship...
 
i AM A EXCELLENT COOK. I can do steak to gumbo to lasagna and cheesecakes. If you have my shrimp and mushroom pasta You will be in my bed tonite. Serving me breakfast in the morn. Provided you can stand in the morn..... LOL :dance:;-)

I'm no Bobby Flay, but I can work my way around the kitchen. The ladies appreciate a meal prepared for them by a man. :D It's a skill I want to work on improving.

I'm no master like moms but I'm trying to get there. But I must say I like to eat my woman's cooking cause it reminds me of how Moms cooked the food with love for my Dad when I was growing up.



But a brotha can grill though.:cool:

i like to do laundry. besides the fact i'm by myself for months at a time, i won't let anyone do my laundry because a lot of stuff i handwash and lay flat to dry.

I agree doing your own laundry nothing is wrong with that,but do you wash your girl clothes,hand wash her panties?

Not trying to be funny because I really know dudes who do these things.

I guess they really love to do laundry.
 
I do most of the cooking at home...I enjoy it,most of the time.
I have a couple of teens,wife....summertime I kill on the grill...in fact at times it's a favorite moment.Sun going down,tall drink in my hand,flipping things on the grill...outdoor speakers on,folks laughing...
 
Isn't that what women are for ?

I actually cooked Sunday dinner once a month when I was younger. My mother required it. I also refuse to let anyone else wash my clothes....i'm sort of particular about that sort of thing :yes:
