Mac/apple Dickriders Now What You Got To Say

You obviously are not familiar with Macs (or Windows for that matter). Its the OS... not the hardware.

To me there is no better feeling than building your own rig  been building for over 10 years and can't ever see myself buying a desktop computer ever again.
Wanna impress me, tell me that you built your own mac workstation.

Duh! In other words I could care a shits ass about a operating system, the only thing that I am into are the results and the ability to have total control of my computer, from the nutz and bolts up. Right now windows give me the freedom to build any type of system I want upgrades and all, while apple is a lot more restrictive witht their operating system and their dedicated hardware array.:smh:

You still typing close to 7 post a day. And we on the internet, I dont know what you got sitting next to you. Bitch might look like Wanda from In Living Color for all we know.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:
THAT would be pretty bad but my wifey is a good looking woman with a degree....

os x isnt any more stable than vista, I just dont see myself spending big bucks on a mediocre mac system, I just think steve jobs is a greedy control freak who refuses to let mac users be able to modify their systems, he fools people with his so called down to earth persona and acts like he isnt about money and charges a arm and a leg for cheap accesssories.

I used to "play" around with building systems as well. It can be fun... now I just get what works and what does the job out of the box...

Well I've been running Vista since it first came out, and never had any problems, crashes, or viruses, and I run a shitload of programs.

it doesnt have to be about fun, lets say u want to upgrade ur video card or hard drive without selling your first born, its would be nice to have that control over ur system

 I stopped reading this bullshit right there!

Shits unbelievable...I mean if RoadRage and ucantcme73 are just going in...so be it.

But something tells me these cats are serious as if it really mattered:smh::smh::smh:

Final note for those who degenerate to this useless battle just buy the computer you like and use it...

If you still can't be satisfied with that the by all the major operating systems and use them (PERIOD)

I agree!

like I said, you don't know much about Macs...
My video card is ATI Radeon, My Hard Drive is SATA, and my memory is DDR2 PC-5300

Funny because.. Ive found Mac software to be cheaper than Windows.... starting with the OS itself.

Let me just add to this, Macs will always be more stable than Windows, due to shit load of drivers that Windows have to try to accommodate. So on one hand Macs are more stable, but on the other they have less 2nd party software and hardware to choose from, limiting both the availability (higher prices) and things you can do with a Mac.

I can admit that there are advantages to owning a Mac, most PC users will admit, thats not the problem, the problem is Mac owners never fess up to the advantages there is to owning a PC.

I make my living of Microsoft.

how much it hit you for....annnnddddd how do you like using it?

From what I remember... the base Mac Pro was about $2700.. then I purchased 2 internal 1 TB drives, 1 TB external Time Capsule, and a 30 inch cenema display. Im gonna need more storage soon, every time I go on a photo shoot I store about 4-8gb of images... have 3 shoots this week.

I think the Mac Book was $1700 or so..

Most users don't need all that.. Mine was a business purchase.

How do I like it? In the winter my Mac Pro is a space heater :-) and is on 365 days a year and I have never had a problem... never had a virus, never been hacked (no firewall, no malware, ) never had to defrag, never had a system crash (but do have app crashes.. shit like Firefox). I can run Photoshop, Aperture, Office, Windows Vista in a VM, Ubuntu in a VM, all at the same time... and my shit doesn't skip a beat!

my mac friends tell me that how os x is its impossible for a mac to get a virus, but when i ask them why does the apple store sell antivirus software they never have a answer

Antivirus software for mac exist to stop the spread of windows virus's. They are no virus's for mac (as of now) but they can still pass them on to other windows machines.

I'll also admit that no OS is immune to virus's but macs are more difficult to infect because the OS is built on unix. You have to enter an admin password to make any major change to your system. The last three virus attempts for macs required the user to enter a password to work and they never made it anywhere.

hmm i dont think windows viruses can even install on a mac, the only way a mac could spread a virus to a windows system is through email.
