Ok I need some advice from the ladies on here. How do I stimulate a girl's mind that I just met without just talking about the fact i am in graduate school? also, i know women like guys that are funny..how can i come off in a funny manner? just need a little help...

if you're not funny naturally its just going to come off as if you're trying too hard.. Besides grad school what things are you interested in? talk about things you read recently (besides school if that's what you want) and if she's a good conversationalist it will just flow... but why not talk about school? PPl talk about what's goin on in their life.. if school is what's going on... why not??
If you're not naturally funny, please do not try to recite jokes you heard on Dave Chappelle or something. A good way to handle conversations is to ask us questions. Not 101 questions, but just a few to warm us up. After she answers the qestion, make sure to offer up your own response to the question or compliment her response... And take it easy on describing your thesis/research in full detail during the first conversation

Ladies, let's try this. Who are you more willing to go home with or give your number to? The guy who talks about himself endlessly, or the guy who listens to what you have to say.
2 cases:
-The guy who talks goes on and on about his career and goals without real regard as to what you are interested in. He may or may not look you in the eye when you talk and he might pause to hear what you have to say, but if the ego doesn't get stroked he'll rephrase until you do give him some kind of ego nudge. By the time he's done, your eyes have glazed over and you are working on your 3rd Daquiri/fuzzy navel/whatever.
-The guy who listens looks you directly in the eye while you speak, and seems engaged and interested in your rant by nodding appropriately and interrupts only to say he agrees or shares your interests/outlook/goals. He may not care either, but it seems like he does. By the time you're done, you are all smiles and thinking that this cat could be "the one".
Who are you leaving with?
let's face it...the latter guy will be called a good conversationalist and will be seen as emotionally "in tune" with you.
