are they a thing of the past? did mike vick pretty much ruin it for the future? and is d.mc nabb the last hope? these are a few of the questions me and my people throw around. gone are randall warren steve etc tavaris is on the bench jamarcuss is one bad game away from being benched so is it over for blk quarterbacks? cause lets be honest the majority of blk quarterbacks get switched into other positions str8 out of ncaa. is it a conspiracy or is it something else?

at one time that was the in thing to do in the NFL. But lately there has been a steady decline of starting black qb's. We all know about Michael Vick, but Vince Young and noy Tavarius Jackson has been benched, Dante Culpepper retired, and Aaron Brooks and Byron Leftwitch are forgotten men.If I'm right there is only 2 black starting qb's (McNabb and Garrard).

Jason Campbell of the Redskins and Jamarus Russell of the Raiders are starters. Young wasn't benched, he's hurt. Leftwich is the backup QB for the Steelers replacing Charlie Batch who got hurt in a preseason game.

THERE ARE A TON OF BLACK QB IN THE NFL. THEY EITHER SIT THE BENCH OR ARE PLAYING WIDE RECEIVER.

BLACK QBs HAVE TO BE SUPER STARS TO MAKE IT IN THE NFL, WHERE WHITE ONES JUST HAVE TO SHOW UP.

I've been saying this for some years now. Until black QBs are allowed to fail as miserably as their counterparts, then they will never get as far.

What do I mean? Has a black QB ever been allowed to go 1-15 the way Peyton Manning or Troy Aikman were without being sat down on the bench? More often than not, when a black QB is thrust into a starting position, he is expected to bring immediate results. Maybe not a title, maybe not even a playoff position, but he is expected to win more than he loses. Vince Young is a case in point. He starts losing a few games and immediately he is sat down. And he might never get his spot back either if Collins does well and stays healthy (he won't do either in the long run)

AND THE ONES COMING FROM COLLAGE , IF THEY AINT IN THE TOP TEN QB's COMING OUT THEY HAVE VERY LITTLE CHANCE OF MAKING IT. PHIL SIMMS SON SUCKED IN COLLAGE YET HE GETS A STARTING JOB IN THE NFL, YET YOU HAVE BLACK QBs WHO HAVE WON THE HEISMAN OR HAD GREAT COLLAGE CAREERS AND THEY DONT MAKE IT. SHIT IS CRAZY MAN.

Other than when Culpepper had Moss and when McNabb had Owens, I can't remember anytime when a black QB had a highly rated receiver on their team...

As far as most black QBs go (coming up from as early as high school), how many of them are strictly dropback passers? They usually are inserted in the game because they're expected to run out of the pocket quicker or that they would have run plays designed for them. Teams do not have that type of playbook won't have much use for those type of QBs...

My question is if any of these coaches from the high schools and colleges are teaching these QBs how to be a better pocket passer?

Until we are allowed to have substandard African American QBs that are allowed to be "game managers" or even average, there's always going to be the (accurate) perception of prejudice.

I don't car what anybody says, scrambling black QB's are more effective in college and not the NFL. period.

go ahead and post up some randall cunningham pics, but he is the exception - not the rule. Black scrambling QB's put asses in the seats and get sportscenter high ratings, but one will never win another super bowl...
